Perhaps these times make you even appreciate company even more..then the good times.

I'm not sure what you mean, JustDarkness. Would you please clarify?

I believe what JustDarkness is saying is that when we get rid of the frills we think we have to have, we concentrate more on what people have to say, relationships and the nature all around us. It’s what makes a camping trip pleasurable. Listening to the words of someone around a campfire while you study their face in the firelight with glowing embers cracking.

Ours hasn't, and I don't think it will.  We just got through four years of living on peanut butter sandwiches...uh...I mean college...so we're used to being pretty damn broke.  As in, do we want to eat or pay rent this month, broke.

Thankfully he got a great job last year right after graduating, we own two vehicles outright, and other than college loans we aren't in a substantial amount of debt (although we do have a few medical bills).  When we first got out of school we started spending a lot more, simply because we had money for the first time ever.  We've cut back quite a bit since, and will probably have to cut back even more if I can't find a job.  It was rather disappointing to me that I won't be able to finish my degree any time soon.

it's not effecting our relationship negatively...

the only thing we're having problems with is me being buried alive under college scholarship applications for my son, fasa, tax returns, etc that he can't assist me with at this time...

the economy i suppose is effecting our relationship in a way, a good way...

i've always been poor so i'm not stuck trying to figure out how to budget or cut costs and i'm actually getting more bang for my buck will all the price cuts, thus, leaving me more time for my passion, which is cooking and baking...

and him, being the wonderful and honest man that he is, sees me as beautiful, no matter what i look like, when i'm in the kitchen rustling him up some grub
