Or, failing that, the supermarket's probably hiring again...

Just kidding. I've got nothing but respect for Warner. One of those very rare sports stories that really exemplify the best of what sports are all about. A grown man in his mid-20s,  stocking shelves in a supermarket, and still never gave up on his dream that he could play in the NFL someday. He just kept trying, and 4 years later he wins the Super Bowl. Ranks right up there with Brett Favre throwing for 4 touchdowns on Monday Night Football the day after his father died.

I'm not much of a sports fan, and even less of a football fan., but there are some things about  sports that just reach across the boundary and pull you in even if you're not a fan, and the Kurt Warner story is one of those. Too bad he fell short tonight, but that's one man who never needs to hang his head and look back wondering whether he could have done better.

Just to make things more interesting in the future, the winning team should also get to FUCK the wives and girfriends of the losing team!

Do you, uh... ever get the feeling you were born in the wrong millennium there, bro? I'm just sayin' is all...[;)]

Yeah, unless both teams have a few closet cuckolds on them.

What about the players who are gay? Do the winners have to go down on the boyfriends?

That too. Seems Popeye hasn't thought this out too well. Might be the first scoreless game ever!

popeye1250 -> RE: boo pittsburg! (2/1/2009 11:17:37 PM)

Nope just wives and girlfriends.
Although making the losing quarterback suck a big dick on the 50 yard line would certainly lend some motivation to win.
"C'mon Brady! Up to the balls!"

rachel529 -> RE: boo pittsburg! (2/1/2009 11:28:35 PM)

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!!!!!!!

KatyLied -> RE: boo pittsburg! (2/2/2009 6:01:47 AM)

Wow!  What a great 4th quarter, definitely one of the best ever.  Oh, and it's Pittsburgh
Ben should finally be accepted as the clutch QB he is.  Not pretty statistically, but clutch, definitely.

Gleegal67 -> RE: boo pittsburg! (2/2/2009 8:18:44 AM)

As the resident Cardinal & Seahawk fan here...I doubly wanted to see the Steelers fall...darn it!

I've pretty much lost my voice from all the yelling...here's a recap of the game...

NO!!!!
YES!!!
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!

I'm so proud of the Cardinals...watch for wonderful things from our team next year!!

Okay...I'm exhausted...I need another cup of tea...with a little 'somethin-somethin'

KatyLied -> RE: boo pittsburg! (2/2/2009 9:08:36 AM)

The Cardinals need to think about re-signing some of these guys who are headed into free agency.

CharmingDeceit -> RE: boo pittsburg! (2/2/2009 9:13:48 AM)

Oh, the football season JUST NOW ended?  I thought it was over two weeks ago after the Eagles & Cardinals game.  Should have been Phili and Pittsburgh this year.  The Eagles have been getting so close every year for last few years.  That Super Bowl win coming soon I feel it....or that might just be heartburn.

Gives Charming some Rolaids and empathy.....
