I like the fact your child had to get up. They have to decide what is more important to them. Life is not about taking it easy because you decided to have a late night. No problem with the kids having a late night to watch the game, but that is not an excuse to not do their job. (which is going to school)

They'll all be in school, but I doubt they'll be learning much. Just as I wouldn't want to have anybody perform a medical procedure on me this morning after a late night. In fact, I doubt much of the country is going to be at peak performance this morning.

I won't go as far as saying the rest of the country. Perhaps just the people who for any reason drink way more than then any one person should.

One year it coincided with MLK Day. As it was the first (I think) time his birthday was celebrated, it happened to be the day after the Super Bowl. It was great. The Super Bowl can start a little earlier (maybe 4PM est) have just a bit less pre game ~~blatant network promos~~ hype thereby ending at a more reasonable time. For us, it was about football, family time, friends and fun, not heavy drinking. If people need a day to recover, just check the NFL schedule ASAP and grab that Monday for a day off.
