There are at least 7 different speed methods to get you into hypnosis, which is simply an enhanced form of trance. If someone does the slow one you see on the movies all the time that takes 20 minutes (think "You're getting sleepy..") and is the earliest form of hypnosis, then of course you would think it's bunk. If someone can't put you in mild trance within 20 seconds, they're doing it wrong. If you're not in deep trance within 1.5 to 2 minutes, they're definitely doing it wrong.

And if I may take this opportunity to explain to everyone who is afraid of hypnosis:

You can't do anything to someone under hypnosis that you couldn't already ask them to do in real life. Hypnosis is merely a tool to get past the conscious "No" and get to the real desire of "Yes" if you actually have that real desire to say yes. If your real desire is "No," then nothing changes. (And vice versa, Yes to No). If you go to a hypnotist and say "I want to quit smoking" and you actually enjoy smoking, you're not going to quit.

Most people don't take the opportunity to play with command words and sensation, even though they know the techniques. For example, if I gave you a command to turn pain off in a local area for about 1 minute and I gave you a good whupping for 5 minutes, when that pain comes flooding into you, you're going to fly like a bolt of lightning if I've timed it right. And if I turn pain off after that, all you've got is endorphins with no pain. Likewise, if I give you a command to turn sensation up so high that feathers feel like boulders and I start rolling a pinwheel on you...well, you get the idea. These command words are assuming you actually want to accept the command subconsciously. If you didn't, nothing happens, it's just a regular pinwheel or me flogging you normally.

I didn't see any explanations of this earlier, so I thought I'd drop some knowledge and ideas on anyone interested. :)

EDIT: Oh, and I don't mean this as an attack on anyone, far from it. If you don't know the quick techniques, PM me. They're very simple.

snappykappy: I've actually heard of this being done.  Also, if you google <>open heart surgery hypnosis<> you'll get more results.  -> http://www.pecarve.com/

sintyl:  I know people have a lot of unfounded fears due to popular misconceptions(thanks a whole bunch to George du Maurier & people not being introduced to it correctly by stage hypnotists) about hypnosis.  Hypnotists have to deal with this -all the time-.

sintyl -> RE: Hypnosis (2/3/2009 9:41:23 PM)

Yeah, tyku, I know we do but I figured I'd at least explain why so some people might understand. Sometimes, people just have irrational fears that need to be displaced by answers (even in this kind of community, of all places).

I've noticed that in the personals section, many list hypnosis as a hard limit. Are there that many people that are either afraid of it or have had bad experiences?

I've been doing really deep hypnosis techniques and NLP for about a year and a half and as long as you know what to do when something goes wrong (because it can happen) then everything is alright. It's all fun and games when someone knows the right commands.

Now NLP really facinates me, especially as my partner has done a lot of training in this. It is an incredibly good skill to have when your dominating because its such positive assertion. Its become a lifestyle to him and I love it and am learning about it. He also tells me I use NLP techniques without being aware of it.

This is a great topic as i am a C.H.T. and have been practicing for 14 years, I also have done a few training seminars for couple to increase there sex life. If you are in a committed relationship that both parties have full trust with each other it will work effetely. This is something that takes many sessions to get to the degree that you can actually use it for BDSM. Like anything you have to build on it with your partner. I have used it many times and have excellent success with it. I see a lot of misconception on the understanding of it. First even though you are under you are still in control, for example if I hypnotize someone to go and rob a bank (knowing they would never do it) they are going to wake up and look at me like a idiot regardless of what stage you are in. I have taken people all the way down to delta which is the deepest trance and asked them to do something ridicules and they will wake up. I do this to show them that no matter what they still have control. Hints this part of hypnosis is not dangerous. The part of hypnosis you have to be careful with is trying to open doors that are closed for a reason. This is where HYPNOTHERAPY comes in, and what I went to college for. You can cause panic stress, and shock to someone if they are not ready to have those doors open. As long as you keep it for the lifestyle it is perfectly safe and a great tool to have when you find the right person.

sintyl -> RE: Hypnosis (2/4/2009 1:42:11 PM)

That's a great way to put it, zaaaabooo. Even below delta, you can't use commands that someone does not want to do. In fact, it actually will do the opposite, it will make them resist the command even more.

I actually caught this thread on my way out the door tonight and had to comment.

I am a slave who does go under hypnosis or mind control...you select the word you are more comfortable with.  My Master has the ability to control my body and even create different personas for me.  He also will put me under and place me in a senario...and it all is real to me, while under.  It does take an immense deal of trust, for which i have with Him.  He can make me orgasm just by telling me to and also decide the intensity of the orgasm.

I know this all seems science fictionist...but...for me it is real.  I love being able to live my fantasies that in the real world, would not be possible, well not without some awesome hollywood props and costumes...lol.

For me, as it was mentioned above...it is the ultimate submission.  To give control of ones mind is the biggest thing that THIS slave can give.

I enjoy it a great deal and could not live without now!

Thanks for the compliment Stinly,

*secretslave, isn’t amazing how real the scenarios can be. For me the joy is creating new characters that i can play with. I put my last slave in different scenarios anything from her first time having sex to turning her into the biggest whore, it is so much fun. I also let her have her fantasy when she was good. After awhile when things are going well i like to put in place Orgasm words for example everything she heres menu she has a orgasm, that’s fun when you are going to eat, plays with her mind knowing what is going to happen and trying to avoid the word....

Secretslave1138 -> RE: Hypnosis (2/4/2009 7:32:12 PM)

Hehe...I love it zaaaboo.  If it is ok, may i contact you for ideas?  I would love to get new personas and ideas that i can play with?

Hugs!

More than a few people have tried to hypnotize me without success. Its not like I didn’t want to be…I did. It just would not work on me.

I’ve come to believe there is no such thing…  I think it is only allowing yourself to be fooled into thinking you are hypnotized.

I know many swear by it…and so do some medical professionals. I guess it takes faith that it can happen…something like faith in religion.

At least for now I have no faith in hypnotists.

Frankly, I find this kind of attitude rather uninformed. I *have* experienced hypnosis, and it's worked really well for me.  I have no delusions, I understand how hypnosis works, more or less, and I approach it from an informed perspective.

Just because something doesn't work for you, that doesn't make it non-existent or ineffective.  Hell, Claritin has no effect on my allergies, but I believe it still exists, is still a valid course of treatment, and is still effective - just not for me.
