Cool if it happens. I note lots of future tense verbs there.

There is no price, therefore I would assume if you have to ask, you can't afford it. Of course technology really does trickle down, so this might be very good news. Alot of people would accept less performance for less dollars, like to get to work and stuff.

I would guess that something like this uses a variant of the Hummingbird motor.

Good luck trying to drive thru 6" of snow with that.

Termyn8or -> RE: Shelby Aero EV (1/29/2009 8:37:41 AM)

rob, how about ten inches (Cleveland here).

Then it would be 0 - 6 MPH in 2.5 hours.

thornhappy -> RE: Shelby Aero EV (1/29/2009 8:53:41 AM)

10 fer here + 0.5 ice.

That would be a great car, but I fear that it'll be something like 100k.  I would like one that could go 55 (good enough for around town) and have a range of 150 miles.

(scooters aren't good for around here due to weather and craziness of drivers)

Have any of you test driven an electric vehicle yet?  I want to go try out an electric scooter soon.

xBullx -> RE: Shelby Aero EV (1/29/2009 2:00:57 PM)

heh.......I just had a funny thought........an electric Harley.......the all new Electra Glide ......almost sounds like a twisted concept

Termyn8or -> RE: Shelby Aero EV (1/29/2009 2:03:55 PM)

It is a twisted idea Bull, welcometo the club. Perhaps you would like to apply for membership in the HH gang ?

Well, a scooter is not the same as a Harley but would definately be good for running around town and finding easy parking.

xBullx -> RE: Shelby Aero EV (1/29/2009 2:11:26 PM)

I know.......I mean a Harley without its roar; that's like a pussy with no whole....what the fucks the point !!!

Maybe a playing card in the spokes?

Well now, that would get me back and forth to work nicely!

Which reminds me.........Ford has some interesting new toys in the works for the near future also.

My former nephew is still really close to my son. He is a R&D engineer for Ford. He came through the other day, doing a test road trip of a new un-named vehicle. The body wasn't the finished product but the engine etc......was quite impressive and FAST!!! I have never been a fan of Ford but they now have, the most extreme and abusive test track for trucks, of all full size truck manufacturers. I was impressed.

Vendaval -> RE: Shelby Aero EV (1/29/2009 2:50:54 PM)

Ice and snow are hazardous enough for 4 wheels let alone 2.  We get rain and ice here but almost never snow.  Now getting stuck in mud and muck?  That would be a definate possibility in the winter.

philosophy -> RE: Shelby Aero EV (1/29/2009 2:53:28 PM)

...in snow i prefer shank's pony....[:)]

Vendaval -> RE: Shelby Aero EV (1/29/2009 2:55:03 PM)

A snow mobile?  Or a sled or ?

philosophy -> RE: Shelby Aero EV (1/29/2009 2:56:42 PM)

....lol.....nope, shank's pony is a British euphemism for walking........[:D].......nothing nicer than that crunch as your boots push down the snow.......

Vendaval -> RE: Shelby Aero EV (1/29/2009 3:04:49 PM)

I hope that you at least strap-on a pair of snow shoes.
