In "Batman Begins," actor Liam Neeson plays the role of Henri Ducard (Ra's al Ghul). In that role, Ducard is the mentor to Bruce Wayne. He first finds Bruce Wayne in a Chinese prison and offers him a "path" and proceeds to train him and enable him to face his fears. Setting the plot details aside, the manner in which Liam Neeson presents himself strikes me as akin to the presence of a Master or Dom. Self confident, wise, intelligent, self aware, skilled, sensitive in his own way, and more. A magnetic personality in control (flawed, not perfect). Stirring, not shaken.

Can you name a character or actor in other movies in which you see the qualities of a Master or Dominant displayed?

Hugh Jackman as Wolverine.

Two come to mind immediately, one also from the X-Men series, Patrick Stewart as Professor Charles Xavier.  He is intelligent, noble, patient and firm.  And Sean Connery in Highlander II.  He is very brave, wise and a good leader.

Jean Reno plays in some very dominant roles.  In The Professional his relationship with Natalie Portman was as her protector, mentor and her companion.  A love developed between them and they bonded to become a pair united in both the pleasures of life playing games, good health (“drink you milk”) and survival.  He seemed like a good Daddy Dom.

Domina: Jane Powell, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers

Pillow Talk with Rock Hudson and Doris Day. Near the end of the movie after Rock Hudson hired Doris Day to redecorate his apartment in a bid to win her back, she turns the place into a womanizers heaven, when he was hoping to decorate it so she would be comfortable there. In his anger, he marches over to her apartment and picks her up and flings her over his shoulder and carrys her cave man style back to his pad.....

*sigh* I love that movie.[:)]

I will give you all a good laugh. First keep in mind I use to do modern dance and am passionate about dance. West Side Story Riff and Bernardo would been the 2 doms that first drew my attention, even though they danced down the roads.  Then of course there is Clint Eastwood in Dirty Harry.

Misguided but would make great Doms for me in my opinion.

Anthony Hopkins as Hannibal: F*cker knows everything and is never wrong. Could talk a fish out of water and talk a crazy person into swallowing his own tongue. Excellent at reading people.
Heath Ledger as the Joker: Mmmm...clever. I love a clever man.
Christian Bales voice could charm me any day.
Tobin Bell as Jigsaw in Saw: A man who can manipulate you without you even know me is the man for me.
Snape from Harry Potter: He's a teacher. He just LOOKS like he could give a good spanking.

I can't think of anymore right now.

I just saw Gran Torino with Clint Eastwood. He is nearing 80 and he still was hot and Domly! [8D]

mmm.... yes, agreed.  A fabulous Daddy Dom he was.

One that comes to mind for me would be Cilian Murphy's character (Jackson Rippner, lol) in Red Eye.
A man who certainly has no fear telling a gal what she's going to do
[sm=sm.gif]

(and yet... even as his attitude excited me I was still rooting when Rachel McAdams character DIDN'T run up the stairs and finally kicked some ass for all those "chased" girls throughout movie history)

Snape is, of course, played by the uber-Domly Alan Rickman, and he's hot even with greasy hair. And Lucius Malfoy (Jason Isaacs) can beat me with his snake-headed cane any time.

MissIsis -> RE: Masters and Doms in the movies (1/17/2009 7:51:40 PM)

Ricardo Montalban in the Startrek's "The Wrath of Khan"
