In gorean rooms if protol is to be followed all sub/slaves must kneel with forehead to floor arms stretch out over head fingers splayed and beg entrance to the room. Addressing the Master(s) of the house, if there are no Masters in the room then addressing the Misstress.

Most normal rooms if they are just for chat you enter and say hi. It is standard for the submissives to have uncapped names and the Tops to have capped names. some rooms don't care others will ask you to Cap or uncap if you are wrong.

Like everyone else said, most rooms now have bots and you if the rules of the room are not automatically sent to you in a PM then you can !rules or !protocols and retrieve them.

If all else fails, enter and say " Hi this is my first time here can someone please explain the rules or protocols for this room?" Usually someone will be nice enough to do so.

I thinks it's been about 3 years since I actually sat in a chat room *S*

For the rooms here and on bondage.com if you run Mirc or some other IRC based chat program you can utilize way more of the functions then if you enter running only java.

Oh and don't forget to desribe in painstaking details things like "this slave smiles shyly while gracefully bowing to MastetGiantPenis and twirling her lovely slave silks while fetching drinks for all." Yeah, that is why I hang in forums. After puberty hits chat rooms seem silly. To me anyway. I mean, if you are going to fetch me a drink bitch, I'd like to actually taste it.
