Pretty cool assurance program.

If you`re fired or laid off w/ in the 1st year, they take the care back.Of course there`s some fine print, but not much.

The program pretty much covers the "drive off the lot" depreciation a new car buyer pays.

I also liked their 10 year/100,000 mile warranty (which has driven other car makers to do as much)

My last 2 cars have been Hyundai's - I've always been very pleased with both the cars themselves and dealing with them as a company for sales and maintenance.

I saw that on the evening news last night and think it is a great idea.  My experience with Hyundai has been very positive and the vehicle is very economical and reliable.

Wish Detroit would get on the ball.

There`s no reason that can`t have 100,000 mile warrentys on all their cars.My '06' Silverado has one.

Very good point.  One reason comsumers are staying away from car lots is not knowing if a car company will still be in business later to fulfill warranties and service the vehicles.  You cannot find everything for the new models sitting around in junkyards like older models from 10-20 years ago.

I saw the commercials on TV for that offer. However I can't help but wonder.....what kind of penalties will you suffer if you take the buy back option in the event of income loss? They are most certainly not going to do this without being able to make a fast buck on it.

Owner, well, I owned 3 Ford F-150s and they don't really need hundred thousand mile warranties.
Maybe a 300,000 mile warranty on the trucks but even then some guys will run them right into the 400's and 500's.
Some guys say a Ford truck isn't broken in until it has "150k" on it anyway.
As for Ford's "Mercury" line I've owned 4 of them as well.
I think I used my warranty on the '85 Cougar once and that was it.
The 3 Grand Marquis I've owned never needed any warranty work.
One of them a '94 I sold to a Navy buddy and he had I think about 183,000 and his two wild ass sons beat the shit out of it.
Finally about 6 months ago one of them tried to go between two buildings and,.....the opening was too narrow so it was totalled by the insurance co.
If you build them right in the first place you really don't need a warranty.
Just do the regular maintenance things like changing your oil and filter every 3,000
miles, change the tranny fluid and filter every 25,000, rotate tires every 5,000 and change the air filter and fuel filter every year or so.
