Granted but, that is all intrapersonal dynamics.  However, if we met and you wanted to describe the BDSM aspect of her relationship role to me so I could understand, what would you say?

As long as we have a dynamic we both love and enjoy, I don't have a preference as to what I call her. Every relationship has been different. Sometimes a girl will want to be called something specific because she feels it identifies her role in the best way, others want me to pick what the "title" for their role is because they want to please me by being whatever "title" I ascribe to them. But giving her a certain title didn't define the dynamic... we define the dynamic, I think the title is more arbitrary.

To the OP, this is why, whenever you are in a negotiation, or an understanding, it is always best to see what the others definition is on any given subject. Never assume it is what you define it as. This is a good way to avoid finding yourself in a unacceptable situation..Tempting

I would use whatever label we internally agreed on. (This of course makes the assumption I'm talking to BDSM friendly folk) so if it's "slave' then I'd say she was my slave, if it was pet, I'd say pet, etc. I know everyone's definitions of these words are a little different from person to person, but usually whatever label we decide on matches our dynamics within the realm of what is commonly seen as what those dynamics shuld be. i.e. my last sub was a "little girl" and our dynamics definitely matched what most people would see as a daddy/little girl relationship.

It's worked so far.

Don't be confused; they are all differnt and mean XXXactly what you think they do...we just live in a time when there is no up or down, in or out and words are all what everyone wants them to mean instead of the specific purpose, value they have.

Enjoy your wonder-filled day
