Kind of reminds you of a cartoon, where the next bigger fish progressively keeps gobbling up the smaller one on the line until the catch is bigger than the boat.

One time when I was in the U.S. Coast Guard a commercial fishing boat dragged up a steel coffin that looked fairly new.
We took it way out and reburied it in deep water away from the fishing grounds.
