Hello all and a Happy New Year!

A newbie question: could not find any guidelines.

What is the most appropriate way to make contact with people one wishes to write to? I am familiar with the alt.com system where there is a message space that remains strictly private between the respondents. However, at collarme.com that is not strictly true, is it? The message body is visible to the public at large?

I should be most grateful to be instructed in the proper etiquette as it pertains to this website, not just in this matter but in other things that one might overlook. Not the obvious ones, but the tiny details. Thank you.

Gt.

No that is not true.

Also note that you are on CollarChat. These are the Forums. As a General Rule if you click on the picture or the name of the person to the left of a comment you wish to chat with. Mine is the BioHazard Symbol or SteelOfUtah to the left there. This will take you to the CollarMe side of the site here you will find our Ad as well as Profile Under the Main Picture you will find Two Boxes one lets you send me a message the other lets you give yourself note about the person like Psycho or DoucheBag or Kind and Sweet.

Messages you send over in CollarMe are Private and are only seen by the person you are sending the message too. Messages sent on CollarChat are seen by anyone who reads the forums.

Hopefully this helps.

Steel

Use respect when contacting anyone whether a sub or dom/domme.  Use intelligent grammar and check your spelling.  I find myself often sending the best letter to someone that never reads it or acknowledges it and sometimes less thought put into one and I get a response.  Make sure you read someones profile and journal entries and make reference to something you have read so they know its not a form letter that you changed the name.  pm to contact someone directly.
Have fun and welcome

Hello, and welcome to cm.  Follow the good advice of the above and you will not go wrong.

Thanks for the warm welcome and the sound advice. If I have read you all correctly, when corresponding to a person of interest in the COLLARME section, I write them a message in the space provided. This message is entirely private between two people. This is very stupid of me, but how do they respond back to me, or how do I know [am alerted to] about such responses?

Thank you very much for patiently showing me the ropes!!!
