a "male princess" is called a "prince"

seriously, it's a real word =p
negative connotations are always applied to female words, it seems. princes are just as obnoxious but noooo they're called "male princesses"? seriously?

come on =p
there's already a word for it. it's PRINCE.

Actually the word is the same as for the female "Not Compatible". That's all that needs to be said.

If someone requires more contact or more attention than you prefer in a relationship then you aren't compatible. It doesn't make them a bad person, it just makes them incompatible with you. Or would you prefer that they categorize you as dull, unemotional, boring, Stepfordish etc? Because if you go around slamming others for being different than you, then they have every right to do so in return.

calling another a "princess" is both a positive and a derogatory term.

This is how I feel about the word in general... Why can't we call them princesses? Doesn't that add to the slam a little?

if it adds to the slam by "insulting" a guy by calling him something feminine, i.e. being a chick is just oh so bad =p then that's annoying
slam him for what he is. if he's a spoiled brat, he's a prince.
it's an example of "harmless sexism" that relies on using a feminine term to make someone feel "lesser"

I think that rather than look at it as slamming the feminine, I look at it as immasculating. Not even a prince and on the road to manhood/king. I also see a princess as feminine but not nearly yet a mature woman/queen.

Not that I use any of these terms really. None of them appeal to me except in humour. I am only suggesting an alternative point of view that is not necessarily derogatory to women. I really think it is going to depend on the intent of the person using it.

I think Rainyday has a point.  If you just want to take away the dude's manhood, why not call him, "Little Prince Eunuch-boy"?  That would have the additional benefit of making you giggle every time you said it aloud.

The term in the gay community is "twink". Bratty boy with a diva attitude of entitlement.

Master Fire

wow, you learn something new everyday. In World of Warcraft a twink is a toon with some really really good gear, usually supplied by a higher level character.

It's the twinks who have the over inflated diva attitude are called princesses, which more often then not, used in a negative context.

I suppose I could call them "Little prince eunuch boy" but that really doesn't flow off the tongue as well as a few that tend to come to mind when I am presented with a perfect specimen. Most of which, would not hold up to the bright light of mod scrutiny.

As an aside, while I have heard twink used in a negative sense ( especially by the bear community ), it usually refers to looks - young, boyish, "pretty"  - rather than personality.
