Question: Can subs tell if you delete their mail (whether opened or unopened)?

MasterFireMaam -> RE: Deleted Mail (12/27/2008 1:21:07 AM)

I know people get notification if you're read (opened) their mail or not, but I don't know about deleting. You could find someone to test it with. It'd take three emails...one that is deleted unopened, on that is opened but deleted and one to say they've done those things to the other mails so you know. If you want to try it, feel free to send me mail; I'm curious, too!

Question answered. Fire is a genius. No need for further replies.  I know how you people love being repetitious.    Rage rage rage against the monotony...

Hippiekinkster,

You CAN tell if someone has deleted your mail unopened. I sent a note to someone who deleted it unopened.

subs can, but slaves can't and Dommes could, but only if they stand on one foot when they log on.

So now that you have asked the question and conducted the experiment, are you going to share the results?

~fr~
Yeah, go into your "Sent" emails and you'll see in the "Read" column either a blank space, if unread, a date and time, if read, or the very informative but dreaded by some "Deleted Unread". Several months ago, CM added a feature that, on the "Received Mail" side, placed a checkmark to the left of a message to which you replied when your reply was read.

The other week I got a cmail and the name was black, very odd. I think it must have been some kind of error because on a subsequent mail it changed back to pink. Not sure what the relevance was of it.[8|]

Nope, in my experience it is not an error as such, because when I reply to someone at Uni via my mobile phone internet, then my name turns black, too. Sometimes strangely the person doesn't even get my reply (as I know from a nice longterm contact on here who twice didn't open it for ages) but always when I reply via mobile phone internet then my name turns black, too, and when I reply via laptop or other computer then my name turns pink [:)]

When the username is in black it indicates the profile is hidden or the account no longer exists. You can still email users with hidden profiles but not  users who have closed their accounts. If the user name goes from pink to black then back to pink, that would indicate that someone is just hiding and unhiding her profile.

WRONG. As I said, if I write to you via my mobile phone internet then my name appears to be black. That does not mean that my profile is hidden or account is deleted. sorry!

GreedyTop -> RE: Deleted Mail (12/27/2008 11:24:16 AM)

Or, as Phoenix said, they send the message from a cell phone

Phoenixpower -> RE: Deleted Mail (12/27/2008 11:28:34 AM)

yep, you should know that GT [;)]

Raechard, you got mail...don't be surprised that my name is black [:D]

DesertRat -> RE: Deleted Mail (12/27/2008 11:30:52 AM)

Ooooh...I didn't know about the cell phone internet thing! Interesting. How about if you use a WiFi connection in an airport? I'm still living in the past, using my cell phone for, of all things...phone calls.

Methinks you should prove it.

Phoenixpower -> RE: Deleted Mail (12/27/2008 11:34:31 AM)

well, with my cellphone contract I have unlimited internet use, therefore I simply use it online as well when I am bored at lectures or when I am already in bed or not out of it at early mornings. thats why I reply sometimes with my cellphone (though not too long replies...even when some people could disagree on that one when I sometimes reply on a longer train journey *lol*). overall I don't like writing long via mobile phone ,but sometimes it does happen...Wifi I don't know as I never managed to go online wifi at airports or at hotels...

I'm a bit disappointed now, I thought it was an indication of evil people.[8|]

While I adore Fire... she didn't answer the question - she provided a solution in which to find the answer. Since you didn't follow up, I'll do the monotony thing and say "Yes".
