Seriously OP, lets get something straight here. I have Diabetes, Type II, I have to watch what I eat and Most Sweets must be regulated in SERIOUS Regulation.

That Being said My OWN MOTHER made me Brownies for Christmas this year, and none of them nasty Splenda Ones either.

Why would she do such a thing to her own Child? Because I went to Diabetic Education and know the difference between what I can have and what I cannot. I am also an Adult and don't expect the world to change for me.

McDonalds still serves Chicken Nuggets no matter how many Letters I send. But they also serve Fruit and Yougurt Parfaits

Wendy's still sells Double Stacks for a Buck, but they also Sell Chicken Cesar Salads and I don't HAVE to use the whole thing of Dressing.

Del Taco will sell me a Soft Taco for 49 cents or 3 for 99 on Tuesdays...... There is nothing really healthy to eat at Del Taco so I just don't eat there anymore ..... God do I want too. But it's MY health. I have to be responsible for it.

For all the BDSM world has for exchange of power and complete ownership self preservation should always be an individual responsibility.

So let them send candy, do you know where most of mine ends up? In the Garbage, because no one where I live really wants it. Is it rude to throw awaya gift. Well if you tell them "Yeah I just chucked that shit in the Trash. I got's me some Diabetes" Yeah that usually goes off like a Fart in a Space Suit.

When they do give you things tell them that you really aren't fond of sweets but you are sure you know someone who is. And if they don't get the point next year remember it is the THOUGHT that counts and Chuck them BGL Land Mines in the Trash.

But it's NO ONE ELSES RESPONSIBILITY BUT THE ONE WITH THE DIABETES TO REGULATE THEIR DIET!!!!

Merry Sugar Indused Coma Christmas.

Steel

You don't have to eat them , you choose to eat them. And if the no candy sign up is what you have to do, do it. If you've made people aware of her condition and they're still so stuck on handing out candy, restate your position louder, or just give the candy away.

Alexis is recently DXed with diabetes and folks have been give us candies and sweets without any concern for her health!  I am the only one eating them and I am trying to lose weight as it is.  Next to putting up a giant sign saying "No candies, doctor's orders!"  What am I suppose to do, keep eating it as a courtesy to these well meaning but clueless folks?  It just drives me nuts!!!

Ohhh...divinity with pecans...I am so weak...

Don't try to get off chest. Instead invite friends over for a party. Lie on table nude or fetish dressed. Place on chest and other stratigic spots. Let guests eat. All that sugar and chocolate combined with fetish people and you should have an after Christmas party to write about! Though I'm not sure "divinity" is a word I would use to describe it.

I understand what y'all are sayiing.  We did inform these folks after Alexis got out of the hospital that she does have diabetes and the doctors and dietatian(?) recommended cutting out sugar in an effort to her her blood sugar down.  It was way over 300 when she was checked in for chest pains (she also has hypertension).  The sugar, if the insuln(?) does not convert it will attack the organs, the heart being one of them.  My father had diabetes as well and so does Alexis's mom.  Heck one of the givers is diabetic herself and she gave us a package of chocolate covered pretzels, knowing the there are 2 diabetics in the households.

I am moving tonight, Country, so I cannot throw a party.  That is a good idea, but not possible with the last of the packing I have to do before Sir picks us up for home.

Now to take some dayquil and get things organized one last time before taking off.  Where the heck am I going to put my Gor books so they can be in easy reach...lol!

I think this suggestion takes the cake!

Have some garbage bags cut open or plastic sheeting to cover floors and furniture.  Afterwards you can all clean up together!
