Pfffft.....Celine sold herself out!  [:@][:@][:@]

Hahahaha!  You know, I still want a formal apology from Canada for inflicting her on us.  I can accept that Kenny G was in direct retaliation for Wayne Newton, we deserved that... but Celine!?  WHY!? [;)]

No blaming Canada because of Celine, blame the corporates.

I am absolutely blaming both of you for putting that damn "Blame Canada" song from South Park The Movie in My head.  Freaking thing is over a decade old and now I'll probably just have to watch it for giggles.

PS.  If it helps, there's a spoof on Celine Dion in it.

Fair enough.

Jeez, international relations and diplomacy isn't THAT hard.  Maybe I should run for president.  Meh, nah.  Prime Minister would be better.

Run for Prime Minister. That way it'll be easier for me to get to 24 Sussex Drive and apply as your personal secretary.

Hello janigrey,

When in doubt, I go with a gift card to a favorite store whether that be for real-time or Online shopping.  That way the giftee can get exactly what they want when they want it and return or exchange the merchandise if there are any problems.

janigrey -> RE: politically incorrect question about a 'gay' thing about Christmas (12/14/2008 4:49:24 PM)

The family is really not big on gift cards... we had a year when we all exchanged gift cards and it was sorta said - why didn't we just hug each other and keep our own money?
It is also a thing that his sister is really really good at - buying a person the present they didn't know they needed or wanted - but once you have opened and used it - you're delighted to have?
Last year she got me a bath salts, bath bomb set with a huge fluffy robe.
I own a robe - but this was one of those spoil you types ya know?

Sadly - the lashing I took about not judging someone based on their orientation had me spinning.  I needed to finish my shopping today as I won't have time the rest of the holidays to sneak any in...
I ended up finding a 'theatre district gift certificat' this way they can choose their show ....

thanks - everyone for 'getting' what I was trying to say....

jani

ERM.....what's wrong with buying them something they both like? Tickets to a show they hadn't seen yet then they ranted about wanting to? Gift certificates to their fav clothing store, restaurant, etc. Best not to get focused on getting a present geared towards their orientation but according to what they like....as a person. Not all gay guys are into the stereotypical stuff!  I don't like musicals, don't wear the latest in DKNY or Dolce & Gabbani fashions.

- bear- the most unhip and untrendy gay guy here~

But I'll bet your house is decorated....[;)]

You mean you'd actually settle for just ONE position?

lashing?  Nah, we knew what was meant and were just having a little fun.  At least I was. :)  And I still hate Barbara Streisand!!!!!! [:D]

Good choice on the gift I think though. :)

Happy christmas!  *HUG*

What happened to Barbra Streisand and Celine Dion???  [:D]

They died and went to Vegas.

So much for belief in a higher power. In a just world they'd be in Branson, Missouri.

How about a fabulous Earring Magic Ken doll? [:D]

If they are in Ohio as you are..how about gift certificates for these gay-friendly stores and outings:

I think an American Express Gift Card would be great, wrapped in a nice box...

Since they are a couple, they might really enjoy sharing those bracelets that are like
half a heart...with each wearing the other half.

I would get them the same thing I would get any loving couple....

Gwynvyd -> RE: politically incorrect question about a 'gay' thing about Christmas (12/16/2008 1:06:21 PM)

You can buy them a membership, or donate money in their name to The HRC. http://www.hrc.org/

I know I would love that as a present.

You can also look at this website http://www.loveandpride.com/

I love their stuff.
