LadyEllen -> curses! our evil plot undone! (12/12/2008 2:13:57 PM)

The game is up!

Our use of cholera as a biological weapon to topple the Mugabe regime in Zimbabwe and recolonise the country in the name of Her Maj has been uncovered! Curses! Foiled again!

The information minister for the Mugabe government announced the discovery today. That sewage treatment plants, water treatment plants and the infrastructure are breaking down for lack of funds for such British imperialist extravagances as water treatment chemicals, pipe repairs, power for pumps and wages for workers, (absent without leave to find food for their families wherever they can), and sewage is running in the streets and contaminating the water system and even the water table where people have dug wells in desperation, is nothing to do with the cholera outbreaks around the country and now spreading throughout southern Africa as people flee Zimbabwe, taking the disease incubating within them.

Just yesterday, Mr Mugabe told those attending a funeral for a party member (all party members, looking very well clothed, shod and fed for Zimbabweans these days) that the cholera was under control and that the UK and US should not see it as an excuse for military intervention in the country. Today's announcement seems at odds with this notion - why invade if we're planning on killing the population off and strolling on in?

And compared to a few days before that, when cholera didnt exist in Zimbabwe according to the regime, then was acknowledged as a minor and isolated problem (isolated in just about every area that is), its a huge change. Meanwhile WHO reckons deaths and cases are far in excess of those acknowledged by the government whose hospitals lacks the most basic treatments required to prevent and treat cholera, which apparently is a fairly simple matter.

I am reminded of the Iraqi information minister, standing atop a Baghdad building confidently predicting the destruction of allied forces as US tanks rolled by in the street below. I could admire his professionalism and commitment in that, however misplaced - I feel no such thing for this clown in Zimbabwe or the circus master running a once prosperous country into the ground.

If there was oil in Zimbabwe, the west would have been in there like a rat up a drain pipe, but as there is not, we all just look and wonder who will sort the mess out.

LadyEllen -> RE: curses! our evil plot undone! (12/12/2008 2:29:02 PM)

The world seems to think South Africa specifically and Africa generally should sort it out.

But Mugabe is a hero freedom fighter against white oppression, a legend of resistance against white colonial rule - and few will step up to the plate to so much as say anything about it.

One might hold that South Africa is now culpable in the whole mess by way of its support for Mugabe and absence of action to sort things out - but that would be a dangerous precedent to set in "international law", considering how the fine upstanding gentlemen of London and Washington and the rest of the western world have so often stood by and watched atrocities occurring and happily provided support to the most dreadful violators of morality.

...we could add some PR to that.   LA to recycle sewage into drinking water.

and NASA astronauts having it set up so they can drink their own urine.   I can see where this will head....not only should the masses drink their own urine, but pay for it as well.   Dont harvest rain water as that is owned by someone else.

the big money forces love to become the needed middleman.  unless we let them be the middleman then we are all the enemy.       we certainly dont need more middlemen.

I used to be so gung ho for science.  But these days, as I notice that it is more a tool for evil, rather then good- it sure makes me stop.

I dont want the government to solve any more problems.  NONE.  The forces that govern us have done enough damage.   As the line gets murkier and murkier -somehow it gets clearer.

You know lady E,   that crowd does have a weakness.   they have a ego --arragant.  they trip up themself.  you just have to tune into it.  one day- this very evil of stomping on the weaker people, will backfire.   One can only hope.

I believe the interent and teck age, has sped up their race to control every molecule on the planet.  They are going in for the kill.   Thats where we are at today.  but like I say- they are highly arrogant.   they could very easily be so vain that they lose out this time. I hope they do.

LadyEllen -> RE: curses! our evil plot undone! (12/12/2008 2:49:01 PM)

The peasants might be revolting one day PA - but those who take power after the bloodbath will be no different to our masters now.

Personally I look forward to the day when air is deemed too polluted to breathe openly and breathing without authorised equipment will be outlawed on safety grounds. Licences to issue correct equipment will be auctioned to the highest bidders (because it will raise money for government spending for the peasantry - who could argue?) and one will pay standing charge for the equipment and a per breath rate recorded on a meter, for one's purified air courtesy of the licence holder.

Dont pay? Then as with other utilities, we cut off your supply.

...Maybe not   Lady E.   there would be a lag time between old and new.  I am tho alarmed at what we come to think of as education.   Todays colleges break no new ground.  And now you can figure everything taught is being taught to an unworkable paradyme.

when enough people dont have any  ... ownership of said society then one is more of a bum in someone elses utopia.   But if too many % of the people are now not owners of the society, one cant expect the people to cherish-nurture and treat the world as tho they have any stake in it.   or in other words, anyone who just lost their 401k,  why would they want to keep buying stock, keep having any funds deducted, or have any optimism that they share in the common plight of the tribe.    particularly when they take the hit while golden parahchutes, and the like go to those who gutted the community.

so the premise that a new master would be worse isnt automatic.   society could return to where the sum of the parts is more then the whole.  that each has a voice in the governance of the tribe...

the folly is that we asume we are advanced, we assume we dont make the mistakes made in earlier cultures.     that arrogance can only repeat the history that we dont learn from.

with crises comes opportunity.   lets hope we go down the better path.  :-)

Indeed.

Where are the Visigoths when they're needed?

http://www.larouchepac.com/harvard-yard    <--  look around on Larouches site.  This harvard yard is a good piece. It is long- just pause it and pick it up later.

I am exicited that per haps the 4 corners idea will come to light.   That we can avert nuclear war.    Thats what "they" are up to.   After viewing, thinking about how knowledge happens, how the species is advanced, things are clear that where we are 2008 is all fake.   We have it with in our people to put it right.  I hope we do.

Peak around on his site.  I dont like everything I see there...but at least he offers some ideas to make this a better world.   Which is more then much of his criticism happens.

besides,  free thought, in and of itself, should have no problem with a lunitics website.      As a thinking creature will know innately that a good idea will stand on its own wieght...not by virtue of who thought it up.

Mugabe is the disease that has caused / led to the most death and suffering in Zimbabwe.

I think Mugabe is using too much of his own products, hatred and paranoia.

Aneirin, not really, the world is and has been awash in oil.
The high prices were nothing but speculators manipulating the markets.
As for "sorting their mess out" Zimbabwe should take care of it's own problems.
I don't understand why some people think "The West" should do anything about it.
Why not India or China?
As an American it has nothing to do with the U.S. and I certainly don't want my Troops or Taxdollars getting involved in any African country.

pahunkboy -> RE: curses! our evil plot undone! (12/12/2008 4:06:15 PM)

but Popeye, "empire" doesnt want countries to fix their own problems.  empire wants to secure middleman pay outs.

as to oil, we have 200 years worth in Alaska.  Of course- if it was released that would take out the middleman. so it wont be released.

empire doesnt let Mexico and latin america  fix their own problems.  instead, middleman status.   is it really a coincidence that America produces nothing?   no.   if we import everything, then creates a profit for the middleman.

but as Popeys said best... no soldier is going to want to die for Mattel.

actually, I feel that any soldier will do exactly what he's told once we're at the Arbeit und Brot stage of this current decline; including things that he'd normally find totally reprehensible under orders he'd normally decline as unlawful and things he'd normally find ridiculous such as fighting for Mattel.

this is how dictatorships work; keep the police and military on side to repress and control the people. keep them on side by ensuring they get paid and their families get housing and food when these things are beyond the reach of the people.

See guile?

pahunkboy -> RE: curses! our evil plot undone! (12/12/2008 4:39:26 PM)

At the risk of sounding, overly smug...

America has a uniquely profound capacity to....  well..... to save the world.

In that the US constitution already is in place, which positions the country in a mode that no other country is currently in.  Other could do - so but the framework is here now, via the US constitution.

By its design, it is constructed to lay "common good" above empire.  We do not have a parliamentary system of government.

I truly hope that we rise to the occasion.     There have been other times in the short history that the US has rose to the challenge and I guess we shall see this time.

What is going on now is the ultimate gamble of sorts.   All or nothing, to state it is simplistic terms.

It wont be pretty, it wont be easy, it wont necessarily be evident right away.

"old money"  is feuding with itself, and at the same time grasping for control of the entire globe.

The 12-12-2008 WTO meeting, guess what? Canceled.

300 million Americans or 13 banking families.   hmmm.     I dont automatically conclude that the banking families will win.... which if they do- you can count on nuclear war.   (China/Russia/Arab area)

The police are .... robots.   but I think noncompliance will trump that.

The question is - if there will be a fight, how much blood will be spilled, and how long it will go on.
I might add, the said 'families"  will take enjoyment over the buchery of blood.....

Still- it isnt over until it is over.

LadyEllen -> RE: curses! our evil plot undone! (12/12/2008 4:47:09 PM)

At the risk of sounding gloomy, the US is in no position to save itself as of a few years back now, so its chances of saving the world - if indeed it ever has accomplished such - are close to nil.

Your 13 banking families will triumph if/when it comes to it; when there is nowhere to live and nothing to eat, and no means of acquiring and retaining either, people are easily persuaded into anything to have Arbeit und Brot. Whether thats the abandonment of all principles by way of ditching a constitution or discarding those principles to do things that common humanity would normally inhibit, they will obey those who can provide their needs in return for loyalty.

It seems to me a year zero option will be the only way forward in the near future, whichever way that comes about.

Lady E.,  I fear that you are correct.

Mainly because most are to glued to the TV set to know what the score is.

And you are right.    People will kill for food.

I still cant help but hope that.... just maybe things will turn out ok.

Certainly society has been incredulously shallow, self absorbed, drunken foolishness.

let me ask you.  You have a brain.  How does one fight it?   Anyone?   Lets hear some ideas.   (I still say the arrogance is a weakness)
One person wont be able to do it alone.  It just floors me, how ...well.... that we are doomed to history as we are.

pahunkboy -> RE: curses! our evil plot undone! (12/12/2008 5:56:28 PM)

http://www.brasschecktv.com/page/494.html   ...here is an interesting piece on the going ons in Canada.   The Australia web rules are chilling. It suddenly got very drafty in here.  I still say- that the stifling of knowledge is a huge part of the mess.

My grandfather would roll over in his grave over this all.   My father would roll over in his grave over it.    The rest of my family is so in a fog they don't realize what is occurring.

LadyEllen -> RE: curses! our evil plot undone! (12/12/2008 6:05:06 PM)

The only way to survive it - one cannot possibly fight it - is to have control over something of real value and be able to defend that control. Its really a back to basics moment in our history - land, resources, gold, - these will be the things of real value if/when things decline to the utmost.

The problem with that scenario is exactly the same problem as we have now - there is not enough of any of these things for all to be supported by them - we have only supported all to date by way of generating false prosperity from a limited amount of actual wealth. At this point one other basic comes to the fore - the capacity for violence, to either seize or defend the basics.

Sadly, all liberal and enlightened values will soon be discarded in such a scenario even by those who today profess them as gospel - that is, if such professers do not fall first victims to those whose capacity for violence is excessively developed over their own, which is highly likely.
