This topic has come up before I know. I remember the last time and there was absolutely no consensus on a good one. What one person said was quiet and effective the next said didn't work more than 20" away.

We got to talking and I mentioned/admitted I would love to try this. But I'm really paranoid about it being noisy and other people overhearing it. Anything that really works for everybody?

I found one, about $80 or so that was solid. It's great fun too.
The problem with remote vibes is the frequency. There are public frequencies that don't require licensing and they are often chosen for cost management in making these lovely little miracles. Here are some things to consider.

Design: Many designs out there from butterflies to eggs and dildos. Every woman is different and frankly, there are some that don't like vibes at all.
Durability: Construction of the device AND the remote is important. The sturdier the design, the more expensive it will be. Sadly, while the device is solid, the remotes are total crap. Most remote vibes are garbage too, the motors fail often, usually because they can't cope with the off center flywheel and the bearings burn out.
Battery life: The smaller the device, the smaller the battery or the fewer the batteries needed. Some will die quickly. Larger devices do better, need larger batteries. Another thing to consider is the batteries used. Sometimes a hard to find battery is used in the remote.
Noise: Eggs fully insertable can be quieted down by... you guessed it, shoving it in! Seriously, though. You can go to a shop that has these little devils and test them, as in turn them on. See if you can muffle it in your hand or armpit or something and let your partner listen in, decide from there. These days, vibration noise is pretty much ignored, considering that pagers and phones are common. I think it's less than a concern any more.

You can improve on current remote vibes on the market, if you have some electronic experience. I've heard some remotes adapted to bluetooth so they can be attached to cell phones, with an eye towards any trigger you choose. If you're willing to buy one and tear it apart, you can extend the range or frequencies if you know your stuff. However, extending the range will make the vibe more unpredictable, for good or bad. :)

The last time I played with a remote, the frequency was basically public, and I suspect in the bluetooth range. While it was fun to turn on the remote at the mall, it was more fun to leave it alone and allow the stray signal to come by and give her a jolt. :) After our little adventure, I'd take her home and turn the vibe on and let the batteries run out while she was in a hogtie. Ahh, so delicous listening to her beg me to turn it off while cumming at the same time. :) Even more delicious to see the look in her eyes as she sank into oblivion. :) Excuse me, I need a private moment. :)

my Master uses both, remote control vibrating egg and butt plug on me. He usually has me wear them when we go out in public and the only time that any noise has ever been noticeable was when i was sitting in the car and He turned them on. The last time He used them with me was at the county fair and distance was never a problem, except when i was on the ferris wheel and He was on the ground. But, even that was fun, because every time my carriage came around to the bottom, i would start vibrating and then as i went up toward the top, the vibration would stop. There were times when i couldn't see where He was but i sure felt His power over me when i suddenly started vibrating. i love them because i never know when He is going to turn them on and it's always a nice surprise.

ha, this reminds me of a story a D told me.

a guy bought an egg for his wife from a store in a mall somewhere, across the street from this store was a bank - she'd inserted the egg in the ladies nearby and together they stood in the que at the bank. for a giggle he switched the remote on and apparently at least 5 women simultaneously jumped in the air and yelped!

Remote control is one of my favorite things. It allows you to play out in public. I really get a trip off of doing things only me and
the partner know what is going on. I would love to combine that with remote e-stim as well. Any way the bullets tend to be quiter than the butterfly thing from past experience. What I have found lacking is the controls too them. Some have an on/off and thats it. Others have settings but you have to cycle through them to turn it off. There are probably better ones out there but I dont know about them.

Beware when wearing them in public as i found out.

Master had me put the egg in before going out. Well on a whim W/we decided i would get a tattoo. i kept asking Master not to continue to turn it on, He said He wasn't and even took the battery out and showed me. Turned out it was something in the tattoo parlor or maybe even the frequency of the ink gun?

Made for an interesting hour with the tattoo artist

The one I have had the best success with is made by Climax Remotes. I can't hear it even when he's right next to me, and though it says it only works up to 30 feet, it's worked for me at 50+ feet. AAANNNND I love the cute little remote! Oh, and it's pink!

The bullet was by California exotics called waterproof remote egg. Im not sure what the brand name is. I do not have any infromation on me for that one.

Hi Des, Most of the big toy companies have some kind of remote toy,
Cal exotics, I think have the most,
Topco Sales have the Climax Remotes
PipeDream have a couple
DocJohnson too.
Ive enjoyed some of the Cal exotics and Topco remotes, but I wouldnt use them outside a 15 foot range. But they are tempramental,(sp) and batteries should be changed often, mostly in the remote unit, usually the inch or so size ones. They are better than they were a few years ago. Quieter and stronger, but duds happen.
All the companies mentioned above have a warranty...usually 30 days, if you return it to them, not the retail store.
I dont know about UK companies or European manufacturers. Many companies have gone out of business that used to do the cell phone ones and i have to be honest I havent researched them lately.

I wish I could provide the brand name of the ones I have.. but alas.. that is not in my memoryfile.

But I will say this. The sound that you hear as it in you will be alot louder for you than it is for someone standing right next to you. Secondly, depending on your positioning the sound can be amplifed or muffled. IE... sitting on wooden bench in a empty hallway will do wonders for sound amplification. But sit on a cushion sit in a noisy restrauant and it is lost to anyone. Learning how to use the toy to obtain the desired effects is just as important as getting a quality toy.

I really wish I knew the brand of the one insertiable egg that I have. I have used it while I was driving in a seperate vehicle. I would say I was as much as 5-6 cars lengths away and using it effectively.

Very true about the common frequency's , I have had similar experiences at hockey games and a football game where i would push play as it were and it effected more than just the person i was with .I was also told by another couple who thought it would be grand fun using the remote vibe at a concert .They were in the 3rd row great seats ,the bassist changed out guitars .well needless to say the next few songs became very interactive .guess the same frequency was on the vibe and guitar .I was also told some notes and parts of the song s were very umm inspirational lol ~enjoy!

I'm surprised no one mentioned The Toy (http://www.thetoy.co.uk/) I have used this on one of my subs in the past with excellent results. It may not be exactly what you're looking for though because of how it works, but it's great for when you and your partner are away from each other and very quiet... though you might not be when it's activated

Hi Traleaon. I cant get a Canadian or US supplier for it. The wholesale cost plus shipping and taxes makes it prohibitive. I know cos Ive tried:(
To get one(retail) shipped to canada the cost in canadian dollars is 295. At customs they tag on a broker fee and then taxes of 13%. I dunno about shipping to the US if you get taxed etc (sorry a mini rant there)
It looks like a great idea, but I cant justify paying out threee hundred bucks for a toy that im not going to see the result of... altho Im sure there are many couples who would have a blast with it:)

My former made one from the inner workings of a remote control car (about 30 bucks), and making it the same address number as a bullet as well as a pair of vibrating nipple clamps. Beats me how he did it, but he got the left right buttons to hit, left right nipple, and the up button to cue into the anal bullet, and the down to cue into the one in my pussy. It worked when I was bound in the back of his van (kidnap scene), and even when he walked inside a nearby building.
We tested it by my keeping score with which one went off when. Which.. I kept track of using my toes, an inkpad, and some paper.
It was a fun 6 hrs.
He was a wonder with anything involving wiring.
I wish I still had those toys!

I think when I got it the Euro to US conversion was a bit better. I understand the money thing though.
