I am grateful that I am hell of a lot better off than I was this time last year, when I was well and truly on the ropes. It's been a tough gig getting back on my feet after the financial carpet was yanked from under me. I am grateful for the good friends who cheered me up and stuck by me, I am grateful for the bloody minded streak that got me through when nothing was working.
To be honest, I am grateful to all the false friends who turned their back on us when we couldn't keep up. I may even buy one of thier houses now it's their turn.
I'm grateful for my offspring, who cheered me up and never doubted me.
Okay, one of them stole my car money, but what the hell, he paid me back.
I was on the bones of my arse twelve months ago, with hardly a penny to my name.
I used up what I had to give the family a quiet, but happy Christmas and lurched into 2008 broke and with a strangely thin social diary.
I got up. I'm grateful to Ladylove, who is the main reason I did.
