Five Blackwater guards has surrender in Utah (Only one defendent lives there).  They all face charges from the September Shooting in an Baghdad that left 17 dead.  The reason for being in Utah is that they hope the "Pro Gun" attitude in Utah will get them a jury that would be more on their side.

I'm know lots of pro gun people, but few that would be pro-mowing-down-civilians.

At any rate, I know something of Utah extradition law, and it wasn't a bad choice. Of course Dubai may have been better but they might not have passports.

About time the USA applied it laws to its own citizens. We get some yanks visit here, commit a crime, but get a US judge, court and jury, tried under US law.

Maybe some sanity after all?
