Status: offline 		"After" some play, I suddenly couldn't breath. Not going into details. It wasn't asthmatic. Master pressed into my solar plexus and I could breath again. Has anyone experienced that?

Status: offline 		Maybe an anxiety attack? I've not been able to breathe either because the wind was knocked out of me from a hard blow or I had a panic attack.

I have hyper ventilated and that was scary and I have passed out in breath play but I have never not been able to breath when being brought round.

Status: offline 		pressure on my stomach stops me breathing.  in fact, all sorts of things stop me breathing, needles, for example, heavy blows... eventually i remind myself how, it's just how i work.

Status: offline 		As stated there are many reasons that could cause this.  You did not share the type of play, so it's hard to say more.  It could be simply shock from the play.

This is a reason that I believe everyone in the lifestyle should know CPR and have a basic knowledge of first aid.  Our local group has CPR courses once a year and we have had BDSM first aid taught as well. 

I am glad you were able to recover.

Status: offline 		I remember I couldn't breath for a second, then passed out while one a cross once. I woke up shortly after, but it gave my Mistress and myself a big scare. Realized that my legs had been locked up and I wasn't moving properly to get the circulation going and that caused me to pass out.

Status: offline 		I had that happen with a newbie one time.  We were at the group's dungeon for a play party.  She had been taking things quite well.  I turned to pick up a different toy and as I turned back she started to sway.  I was able to grab her and enfold her in my arms.  I was able to undo the panic snaps (the reason I won't play without them) and get her to the floor safely.  She came around quickly and I draped her in blanket and got her water.

I was more than a little peeved at myself for not checking in with her in that short moment while switching toys.  I tend to do that with a person the first time we play.

Status: offline 		Thanks for the replies everyone  A topic like this is good to be thrown into the mix now and again, kinda a public service announcement. Lots of people read these forums who are new etc, different things can happen during play, is good to get information out there.

Status: offline 		Snappy..my heart goes out to you. I have CF- Cystic Fibrosis, I LOVE liquid 02, but I cant have it here in Ca. Medi-Cal are stingy ass basterds. In Ohio & Sc I could have it. medicaid is awesome but here? I'm stuck with 02 tanks & concentrator. Medi-cal refuses to pay for liquid 02. again. my heart goes out to you my friend. I sincerely wish you well.

Status: offline 		Once, by accident, I had a sub squiggle a bit too much, not knowing why, until she clamped down hard during the bj (her hands and feet were tied) .... she had her nose in the soft couch and had trouble breathing but I was in ecstasy and didn't realize her tribulations for a few seconds ... end of scene ...

Status: offline 		I never had it happen to anyone I was playing with, but I will damn sure remember that push into the solar plexus. Where I work everyone is required to have BLS certification and I have mine, but some things in D/s like what she described are beyond such traditional medicine.
