I wonder how many people have realised what the Somali people have been through in recent times ? The sudden interest in the Pirate culture (that has developed over time) is directly linked to the fact that the Pirates are now in posession of ........... A SHIT LOAD OF OIL.
The very big boat and its crew do not appear to be on the main global agenda (not surprising)
It would appear that the "civilised" (as it identifies itself) world is not ready to be dealt a taste of its own medicine by those who can take by force,force compliance and walk away......laughing all the way to the bank with impunity.
The Somali Pirates have had plenty of time to hone their skills,their techniques are well practiced.It is unlikely that there will be any attempt to offload the cargo on the vessel in focus........the Pirates are seeking fast money so whats the point when theres plenty more where that one came from.
Oil (and the supply thereof) is becoming an obsession in the west,this is the only reason why the Pirates have suddenly gained so much media interest.
