This might get moved, but this is where i've made my home here on collarme and this is where i'm posting.

i'm a bundle of nerves this morning, for better or worse everything's changing.  Ok, not necessarily everything; but close enough that it might as well be.  My boxes and bags are packed (well not everything, will pack the computer in an hour or two) and i'm sitting here waiting for Ma'am and Sir to get here with the trailer.

Like it said in my journal, and earlier in Ma'ams; we're moving from smoky (oops, sunny) Southern California to Pennsylvania.  Can you say ROAD TRIP?!?!?!  We're going from seeing each other a couple of times a month to living together after two years, two months, two weeks and two days since meeting Her at a karaoke social (and i'm not kidding, i just ran the numbers and that really is how long it's been).

i'm not going into the conflicting emotions right now, but i just wanted to put it out there; wish me luck and Ma'am patience.  i don't know how long i'm on this morning, maybe a couple of hours; but i don't know if i'll get to sign on here before we get there and settled.

*hugs to my cm-buddies, most especially to LP who's been a friend to me for almost as long as i've been here*

Having survived a poly for going on six years now... chuckles.. best of luck with everything.. be open, be honest, mostly with yourself.. remember everybody has a valid point of view at least to themselves, and as bad as it may seem today tommorrow will be as good.. I almost envy you the journey..almost..

Big Hug!  I am so pleased for you!

Expect that sometimes things will be difficult and keep an eye on the big picture.  What a wonderful opportunity.  You are strong and courageous and dedicated.  You set a great example for the rest of us.

Darch!

I wish you safe travels and much happiness in your new situation.  My wife and I are welcoming her other SO into our home in 9 short days - also from Sunny CA.  With my Lady and I, we are marching down the road to a poly family and while it can be scary, there are also so many rewards!

Looking forward to the road trip and new digs report!

Thanks everyone.  Yep, i figured it would be moved; though it would have been nice if it could have stayed in the Ask a Mistress section, since that's where I know my friends would see it.

why would anyone move here?

people LEAVE here, they dont move here.

Anyhow Welcome To Pennsylvania.   (I like it)   the month of february is too cold, and our best pastime is eating fattening food.

I moved from Chicago to PA 9-14-88.  It was hard to do it.  But it was a good decision.  If you need any help navigation PA just hollar.  :-)

We've been here a few days, not fully settled in...a bunch of independent loners in a small space and no one's dead yet; so far, so good.  Only rarely getting online time from Ma'am (my computer is a useless paperweight at the moment) so i'm seldom on.

Don't expect to feel at home immediately. You'll be surprised how much the little things matter. You were used to going to the same coffee shop in the morning, chatting to the same couple of waitresses, having them know how you take your coffee. Suddenly that disappears and it will rock you offcenter more than you imagined. Slowly rearranging the house to include your photos and belongings will take some time, but until then you will feel like an outsider.

It's a long process, don't try to rush it. And good luck.
