ORIGINAL: RacerJim It wasn't that Obama let stupid people vote but, rather, it was that Obama and the mainstream-media kept smart people ignorant enough to vote for him. Note that on a nationwide basis, people within the group below (18 - 30 year-olds) voted for Obama over McCain by a 2:1 ratio -- a higher ratio than any other group except African-Americans. From: http://www.howobamagotelected.com/ Zogby Poll 512 Obama Voters 11/13/08-11/15/08 MOE +/- 4.4 points 97.1% High School Graduate or higher, 55% College Graduates Results to 12 simple Multiple Choice Questions 57.4% could NOT correctly say which party controls congress (50/50 shot just by guessing) 81.8% could NOT correctly say Joe Biden quit a previous campaign because of plagiarism (25% chance by guessing) 82.6% could NOT correctly say that Barack Obama won his first election by getting opponents kicked off the ballot (25% chance by guessing) 88.4% could NOT correctly say that Obama said his policies would likely bankrupt the coal industry and make energy rates skyrocket (25% chance by guessing) 56.1% could NOT correctly say Obama started his political career at the home of two former members of the Weather Underground (25% chance by guessing). And yet..... Only 13.7% failed to identify Sarah Palin as the person on which their party spent $150,000 in clothes Only 6.2% failed to identify Palin as the one with a pregnant teenage daughter And 86.9 % thought that Palin said that she could see Russia from her "house," even though that was Tina Fey who said that!! Only 2.4% got at least 11 correct. Only .5% got all of them correct. (And we "gave" one answer that was technically not Palin, but actually Tina Fey) "Ignorance is bliss" Yes, ignorance is truly bliss. In order for research or polling to be valid you start with a question and try to prove a conclusion, not the opposite. From your own link: All of this was conducted for a forthcoming documentary on how the news media impacted the 2008 election. Please get on our mailing list and return to this website in the coming months for more information on the film, "Media Malpractice... How Obama Got Elected" John Ziegler commissioned the poll in a blatant attempt to generate publicity for his own film, in the hope that "well-informed" voters like you would be helping him line his pockets. http://www.fivethirtyeight.com/2008/11/zogby-engages-in-apparent-push-polling.html : "To my mind, this survey meets the definition of a "push poll", which the Random House Dictionary defines as "a seemingly unbiased telephone survey that is actually conducted by supporters of a particular candidate and disseminates negative information about an opponent." That (i) several of the items on the survey contain information which, in addition to being negative, is arguably also untrue; (ii) Ziegler brags that the survey includes a trick question to which no correct answer can be provided, and that (iii) apparently only Obama voters were targeted by the survey (although this is not 100 percent clear), also inform my opinion that the survey can fairly be described as a "push poll"."
