DoctorJeep -> Looking into the eyes of your sub (11/18/2008 3:21:10 PM)

I saw a post a little downstream about subs averting their eyes.  I thought that I would weigh in with a counterpoint and share one of the better scenes I had.

I had been training that sub for about four weeks.  I strictly had her avert her eyes from the time she had put on my collar.  I wanted to sensitize her for the scene I had planned out.

On the appropriate night, I bound her wrists in front of her.  I used four loops around each of her wrists with wrapping between them so that I had a handy rope "cross beam" to grab.  It was about the width of my own hand. After a brief session with her against my wall with my belt, I then laid her down on my kitchen table.

I grabbed the "cross binding and gently, but firmly put her arms over her head, and I pressed the binding down into the table.

Then I told her to look at me.  Look into my eyes.  I told her to try to move her arms.  Of course I am vastly stronger than she is, but in this position, the physics was completely against her.  As she struggled, she knew it was me holding her down.  I kept staring her down.  Before, yes she had submitted to the rope, but now, I had truly entered her personal head space.  She was terrified.  This was so very much more personal, so very much more intimate, and frankly, inescapable mentally.

I told her to struggle some more.  As she was futilely exerting herself, I penetrated her with my other hand.  Just at that moment, looking in her eyes, I saw her click more deeply and completely into sub-space than I had ever seen before.   It was intensely gratifying.

So, after sharing my lurid little tale of depravity, I wish to humbly submit that the eyes are indeed a key into her, and that it is one that we Doms can explore, exploit and enjoy.

eye contact is definitely a big deal, it can send you somewhere else altogether
i've got eye contact issues so whenever i DO look him in the eye it's like a kick in the head
neato story, thanks for sharing :)

Absolutely, it was so intense for her that I let her have her orgasm right there on the table.

*Nodding* We are fond of eye-contact protocols, and use both averting the eyes and forced eye contact, depending on the situation. We've found that, under the right circumstances, both have very powerful impact on the submissive/bottoming individual.

Another thing about it is to set the scene up properly.  I find that the right lighting and the right music makes a giant deal.  At this point there is a certain track - it is Spem in Aliu, by Thomas Tallis that simply causes her to shake if she hears it.

For those who do not know, Tallis was a 16th century composer and the Spem in Alium is a forty voice motet written for eight five voice choirs singing contrapuntally. The lyrics are espescially appropriate as they translate to "I will have faith in no other but you my lord."  I suppose I should have added this detail of the scene.  Everything was lit by candles and she knows Latin.  It put her right where she needed to be.

I had that entire scene planned for about three weeks before it was the proper time to use it.

Being able to "see" in His eyes and "see" His control through His eyes... yep, that's a whole 'nother realm.

IvyMorgan -> RE: Looking into the eyes of your sub (11/18/2008 4:24:38 PM)

I tend to get all defiant like when there is eye contact.  Not always, but most times.  Especially if you add pain to the mix.  Other times I wind up all nurturing and caring.  I love the different things eye contact makes me feel.  It is more natural for me not to have eyecontact, especially as I'll tend to lip read during conversations.

For those that are interested , "Spem in Alium"  , which was apparently written for a birthday of Queen Elizabeth's , can be heard in all it's wondrous glory on YouTube  !

      Such beauty !

I am deeply impressed with your knowledge.  The piece is a consciousness raiser. I personally swear by the Tallis scholars version of the piece.  First, because they have what I feel is the best tempo and pacing. Second, perhaps more importantly, because they use woman sopranos rather than church boys.  The female voice is a little stronger and honestly sexy.  I hate having my brain messed with if I find it was a boy doping the singing.

DoctorJeep -> RE: Looking into the eyes of your sub (11/18/2008 4:45:52 PM)

I can understand that.  The challenge then for your dome is to truly stare you down and to truly use his physical strength to let you know that all of the defiance in the world will not matter.  That is why I had her attempt to struggle.  She got defiant too - then quickly exhausted.  Also from that position, there is nothing like a few sharp twinges to the breasts to focus her.

antipode -> RE: Looking into the eyes of your sub (11/18/2008 6:57:59 PM)

I kept wondering where you come up with all this stuff, but now I see you are "experienced, imaginative, cultured and highly intelligent". That so totally explains it....

nhite -> RE: Looking into the eyes of your sub (11/18/2008 7:40:41 PM)

i understand there are many signals of where someone is -- but i am curious as to what you saw in the eyes so clearly to make this comment please

This is something that is very difficult to put into words.  The best that I can say is that there was a click from hard and defiant eyes to utterly soft and welcoming, desiring eyes.  There was a twinge of that puppy look.  At that moment she was as truly mine as she had ever been - and I felt my eyes soften too.  It was very intimate and very wonderful.

Lashra -> RE: Looking into the eyes of your sub (11/18/2008 8:11:31 PM)

Sure I use eye restrictions on my boy when we are doing a scene. It is a very intense feeling for him when I finally do allow him to look me in the eye. It seems to send him zooming off into subspace which I enjoy putting him there.

Yes, that feeling of mastery is a true rush.

the eyes are only one of the avenues that a person takes information to build the perception that they hold of the world around them.  Understanding all the avenues that a person takes information in to build this perception and how each of these avenues affects the perception is much more interesting in my view.  It gets even more interesting when one explores how the mind will react as one plays with controling the information that a given avenue is allowed to take in.  Sensory Deprivation and/or Over-Sensory Stimulation of these various avenues can be extremely satisfying.

When she looks into her eyes, notice if her pupils dilate, ever so slightly.

I've read (Desmond Morris) this is a sign of emotional attachment.

Certainly if they narrow to a fiery pinpoint, it's time to run (leave her bound and get the hell outta' there quick!)

Thats interesting because I have been told that when I get really into a scene my eyes change colour. Now I know thats impossible but I think they possibly dilate more.

No, it isn't impossible. People with lighter colored eyes do have color change as a result of their emotional state.

He'll force me to look into his eyes if I'm withdrawing emotionally but I won't space while looking into them. And I close my eyes when I orgasm.

IronBear -> RE: Looking into the eyes of your sub (11/21/2008 6:59:32 AM)

Any slave I train is taught to avert his or her eyes unless told otherwise. The simple reasoning behind this is:
  1. Help reinforce her submission.
  2. To look eye to eye without being told to do so is a sign of equality and slaves are not equal to their owners. They are not a sub-species but are definately on a different, albeit lower, social level.
I use eye contact as part of binding a girl to me on multiple levels once she wears my personal collar.
