Yes folks, I have more sad news.
President-elect Obama may have to give up his Blackberry!!!!!
...gasps, sighs....
As someone who just purchased a Blackberry, 4 months ago, I think
this is a terrible loss!

Why, why, why, must he give up his beloved Blackberry?

Well, as we learned during the general election campaign, the Blackberry was invented by John McCain. Perhaps the DNC is worried about this republican invention being used as a Nixion-like "bug" on their meetings.

Well that does suck, but he gave up smoking and that's a good thing.

Giving up a Blackberry is likely to cause withdrawal symptoms...

Ok, what's a "Blackberry?"

Vendaval, I don't know how to use half the features on my Blackberry, it is
fun learning new ways to use it.

I heard on the news tonight, he will use a laptop in the Oval Office, now
people are waiting to hear what type of laptop he uses!
I heard he does live taping on U-tube and has millions on his email {I guess buddy list?}.
He loves technology!

A Blackberry is a  portable electronic communication device, a phone, camera, keyboard, GPS, Net connection, Wi-Fi and more!

Oh, so if I was at the mall I could go online like a computer?

A Blackberry is quinessentially an evolved smartphone.  As well as regular cellular communications, it also provides services of a PDA, and a palmtop computer, allowing instant messaging, email, and web browsing in addition to maps and  personal organization tools in one handy little device

I do not have one myself, Mz Mia just got one recently.  You can send and receive e-mails from a Blackberry.  Click on the link below for a list of features.

You sure can Popeye!!
I can read the posts on CollarMe on it, but I have not figured out how to post
on the thing.
They are a lot of fun!!!!

My girl friend has one, she let me use her's than I ran out and bought one.
You can often get a good deal on one, through your cell phone provider.
Mine cost about $99.
You have a phone, camera, short video recorder, you can read and write emails,
a modified internet, etc.
You can search the internet, but it is not as elaborate as a laptop.

I can usually pull up whatever I want on my little Blackberry's internet.

They call them "smart phones".
You can even take a picture and send it in an email on the thing.
It will do almost everything except change the oil on your new car.

Yup.  But some websites don't display right on these.

A tragedy as well as a travesty! Heavy is the head that wears the crown.

More damaging is the night of sleep he'll have to give up; the time not spent with family (especially his daughters who are jut cute as buttons).

If giving up his umbilical cord that connects him to the likes of us is the worst thing that happens to him, he's already had a successful presidency

MzMia, can I be the first to point out that he never had a blackberry?  It's actually a mixed-race berry.

There are also security issues concerning the ability to track such devices. Guarding this guy is going to be tough enough. He need not make it any more difficult just to stay connected.

Now why would Dear Leader, being of superb and virtuous character, be worried about subpoenas and public records?  Surely he would never stoop to illegal or unethical activity!

He's supposed to be working anyway.

Actually it wasn't his call, I'm sure if given the option, he would opt to keep it. A+ for effort though :)
