ORIGINAL: TheHeretic Not being a comic-book nerd, I can't say I'm waiting with baited breath (never even heard of this one), but I do enoy the highly stylized films with intriguing stories that come out of the graphic novel genre. .....ah, Watchmen is the daddy. Arguably the first of the Western adult graphic novels that didn't involve remaking characters. Deep, dark and intriguing. The basic McGuffin is that costumed heroes were banned by government and the story in Watchmen catches up with some of these heroes a few years later. NiteOwl, for instance, is now a rather paunchy middle aged man (with a bat cave full of kit). But the icing on the cake is Rorsharch. A borderline psychotic costumed hero, uncompromising and driven. He's what a right wing militia member would be if they were a superhero. Arguably the most interesting superhero ever written, in my view. i'd heartily recommend getting the graphic novel to anyone interested in story-telling.
