Air Scouts, Dogfaces, Squids, Jarheads and Coasties, there is a lot of in memorium running through the threads right now, but this is also a day for those of us who are healthy and whole.

Eat a good steak today, brothers and sisters.  Drink a good beer (or five).  Raise your glasses to absent friends, but then drink deep in celebration of the freedoms we raised our hands and swore an oath for.

thank goodness I read the second response and realised the different terminology used in the US and the UK!

I was taking my dog for a check-up and was tempted to follow your advice...[8|]

vet is a vetarnarium in the US too.  the words have 2 meanings.  I read it as pet oriented as well ------------

I was thinking about veternarians and their extortionate charges for pet care, hmmm, blow a vet.
