So hypothetically speaking... how much saran wrap would cover a 5'2" inch average weight female do ya think assuming she didn't want to be able to move much?

just go to costco and get one of their rolls, you will be able to do whomever you are talking about about 10 times over. In addition, go to your local moving supply store and get the rolls of wrap from there, they are about 5 inches wide, so better for doing around the head.

A normal size roll works nicely. It doesn't take as much as think.

P.s. if you go to an office supply store you can get rolls that are three feet wide.

Don't forget that wrap come in several different colors, so you can be creative. Oh and if your going to play, leave holes in the plastic, so you can get to your favorite parts.

We use a 6" wide roll of pallet wrap with a handle. All I know is that I've been wrapped on multiple occasions, we've used the roll for wrapping other items, and there's still more than enough left to wrap me a few more times. It is definitely the gift that keeps on giving.

The only downside is that afterwards, when I'm loopy, walking into walls and giggling constantly, then I have to deal with cleanup. Doesn't matter if he cuts it off, unwraps me in sections, or however he gets it off - there's much more on the floor than could possibly have come off the roll in the beginning. What appears to be a 1/4 inch on the roll is a full trash bag afterwards!

The 4 inch green packing wrap from the U-Haul store comes with a very good spindle handle.  It takes 1/3 of the roll to immobilize the average torso.

Roughly 30 yards of 18" wide lightweight plastic film, assuming that some duct-tape is being used to reinforce it at critical points. Maybe 50-60 yards otherwise. Not enough to make a detectable reduction in the weight of that costco-size roll that I have in my playroom(3000 feet when new).

Here you go, the professional stuff.  A little more expensive, but it will last a long time (in more ways than one).

**As the voice of reason**

Please use some form of safety measure for getting out as plastic wrap has a habit of feeling fine at first and then restricting your ability to breathe later.

Also if this is your first time, DRINK PLENTY OF WATER, You can loose up to a half GALLON within the first Hour of being wrapped. I suggest asking for someone to administer water every 10 minutes or so. Oddly enough it's very easy to have them pass out with extended wrapping and if they do they should be cut out IMMEDIATLY.

Just some words of advice and experience. Paramedics are kind but they really don't understand, it is also hard to explain WHY you wrapped someone naked in Plastic Wrap and if you played before hand why they are bruised. Yes that was a VERY interesting conversation and yes the cops did follow up on it.

I'll go along with Steel and emphasize the safety aspect.  I remember unwrapping a submissive and noting just how sweaty she was and just how thirsty she was.  I usually offer water during a scene so I had been giving her drinks but not nearly as much as I would now nor did we have her hydrate before the scene.
I also go along with the idea of leaving holes in the right spots...plastic-wrapping is kind of like Shibari in one way...very pretty to look at but very restrictive, if not done right, of bits and pieces that you want to get to.

Lots of water on hand for afterwards and towels because she'll be a sweaty (but happy) mess.

Was cleaning up before and found some bubble wrap. Has anyone ever been wrapped in that? Is it fun having the bubbles popped while inside of it, or is the noise just annoying?

What is average weight?

Anyway, just as a reminder, send her ground, not air - those holds aren't pressurized.

Hmm, if you use a chair's arms and legs and back - I know from experience you can effectively bind and gag a smart ass masochist with surprisingly small amounts of it.  Nothing gives those S.A.M.s the attention they crave like being set on the side of the road with a sign attached to them that reads "free to good home."  Or so I hear (coughs).

If you are talking about the whole mummification thing - one industrial sized roll will keep you snug as a bug for many scenes, if I remember right.

WinD

Edited to add:  The industrial size you can get at Sam's, not the industrial kind you get at ULINE.  Just saying.
