Arillis, that's true.
My father was on a Destroyer in the S. Pacific and told us one time about how they sunk Jap barges with 100's of soldiers on them and then went in close and finished the rest of them off in the water with machine guns.
We went "wow!"
He said, "We had to, otherwise they would have swam ashore and killed our Marines."
So, you don't mess with our Marines!
