The situation appears to be getting increasingly
worse in Afghanastan.
Many, many different sources are saying we need
increased military in Afghanastan immediately.

20,000 is a very large number.
It leads me to believe we have not had enough manpower
in the area for a while
Could Barack Obama be right on the situation in Afghanastan?
When are these troops going to be sent?
Are they trying to delay this until the end of January

when we get a new President so they can blame him?
Has anyone seen President Bush?
Is he still around?

Did he check out early, or is he on a 3 month vacation?

You might recall that General Petraeus was put in command of that situation a few months ago and just assumed the mission.  I believe he has asked for more troops...and possibly a "surge" as has proven so succesful in Iraq might be in the works...I guess we will have to see.  I also understand that there has been some talks of trying to start talks with the Taliban to see if some sort of compromise might be worked out...It worked with the Sunni's...maybe it could work in Afganistan as well...certainly its worth the effort..
