Owner59 -> Say It Ain`t So,Joe..... (10/29/2008 9:55:41 AM)

Lieberman,a week ago.

"When I go out, I say, 'I have a lot of respect for Sen. Obama. He's bright. He's eloquent.' Someday, I might even support him for president," Lieberman told a conference call of Connecticut reporters. "But now in the midst of this series of crises, John McCain is simply so much better prepared that that's who I am proud to support."

What`s with all the praise,right before election day?

Is he another rat abandoning ship?

Is this a way to curry favor(with dems) or maybe  lessen the spanking he`s about to get(from dems)?

Personally,I`d like to see him lose his seniority and rank in the Senate.He can be the freshman Independent from Connecticut.lol

Then I`d like to see him lose his seat in his next election.

When voters find out that he`s a neo-con in dem`s clothing and no longer has any influence in DC(because he lost his rank),it should spell his end in politics.

Thoughts?

Yea, old Joe placed his bet and now he is looking to save his ass.  But I think it's to little to late.  Now, since he lost the Dem primary if people in that state would wake up and not re-elect him again when his term is up,  perhaps then he can find work on Fox.  That is if palin has not taken it from him.

I think you have it right Owner59...except....I get the idea you think he has done something wrong...traitorous...and is not deserving his position. If I'm wrong I apologize.

I think he has been always upfront with his position… right or wrong it is up to his electorate whether he continues to represent them.

At least he stands up for his beliefs even if against his old party’s position. You know what he stands for like it or not…What more can you ask for in a politician.

Owner, there are a lot of neo-cons in the Democratic Party.  Bill and Hillary Clinton are two of them.  You know I'm right.

On another note... I had a lover who in the midst of ... um... you know.. um.... passion.... he looked just like liberman.  It would almost make me laugh every time.  I never told him.  Now whenever a discussion about liberman comes up, it's all I can think about.  P.S.  he didn't look like liberman any other time.

Owner59 -> RE: Say It Ain`t So,Joe..... (10/29/2008 10:40:38 AM)

Traitorous,no.

More about don`t shit where you eat.

I also hate sore winners and sour losers.He`s both.

Also mealy-mouthing to me is like finger-nails on a chalk board.

Tho not the worst offense,I can`t stand that kind of low-grade insincerity.Say what you mean and live with it and don`t tailor things depending on the weather,kinda thing.

Anyway,he left my party and partied with the neo-cons.

He also chimed in with the McCainites and their "Obama terrorist friendly" line.He`s got to show somw cotrition on that stuff before I forgive him.

Fuck him and his new friends.

Lieberman is the biggest whore in politics.

For me,one must be associated with or supportive of PNAC and it`s positions/goals.

The Clinton`s don`t measure up as neo-cons.

I will say though,that they are very conservative and pro-corporate,to a fault.

Which is why I was/am always amused to hear people of the conservative persuasion calling them liberals.Rush and the rest call them ultra-liberals,Socialists and even Commies.

So I let them have it their way.

Smart people like us know the reality though.[;)]

As the now not so famous Alan Greenspan said,"Clinton was the best republican president I ever worked with"(I may be para-phrasing)

What they have a dogcatcher position open in Alaska?

SilverMark -> RE: Say It Ain`t So,Joe..... (10/29/2008 11:17:03 AM)

The Clinton's as centrists....absolutely, neo-cons....not on their worst days....

Bill is the ultimate politician, able to be whatever it is you are looking for....like no one else I have ever seen or read about.
That is aside from whatever it is the Hannity's, Limbaugh's Bortz etc are looking for.
Lieberman makes me ill! How can you be the Democratic VP candidate and then 8 years later support the Republican candidate?
Is it opportunism or intellectual honesty?
I don't know enough of his true views to address it myself but, am interested in what others take is???????

For sure.

The entire globe rests on this election...  coughs....   after the bail out-  I have concluded that is what the entire America is about.    the bernacki 700 bl$ of MY money- (and yours)

I guess I dont get why anyone is excited over the 08 election.     the bottom line is we are thrown under the bus.     so weather I wear blue or red-   my personal thoughts are, I am STILL under the bus.

The energy and hoopla of this 2 year long cycle - gosh- suppose it was place at a mag lev train  across the country- or some bigger item - then just another puppet.

I must be jaded.  robbed...but jaded.

From Canada. Do not understand terms like neo-cons and stuff. My guts say, "Dear God, PLEEEEASE let Obama win". Over and over again.

Lorr47 -> RE: Say It Ain`t So,Joe..... (10/29/2008 9:57:42 PM)

I believe that Leiberman is the definition of an "opportunist"  and would normally send him packing, but.....the talking heads keep landing on 59 seats and then discuss Lieberman as holding the key to a  filibuster proof Senate.  Then, the question seems to be  whether you think Lieberman should be punished more than you feel the Republican filibuster threat should be derailed.  Of course, will Lieberman keep any promise? Maybe there is no answer as usual.
