There is no cotton pickin way anyone would get me in one. Bears are meant to be on the ground and that is where I plan to be!

I saw this on the news the other day.  I'd love to do it too, but no way would I shell out $495 for an hour ride.  I had a chance to ride in a hot air balloon once, but I was too much of a chicken.  I'm scared to death of heights, and something about riding several hundred feet in the air in a wicker basket gives me the willies.

Man- I'd do this one in a heartbeat.  No, I'm not rolling in the stuff, but it would be a ride you'd remember the rest of your life.  Passengers on the Graf Zeppelin said it was a really wonderful way to travel and I believe it.

A couple of years ago, I did shell out the $350 to go for a ride in a Collings Foundation B-17.  (www.collingsfoundation.org).  The only regret I've got is that I didn't go again.  I'm contemplating an hour of P-51 time as well, but that's a bit pricier.

Bear in mind that if pro dommes are your cup of tea- well, that's about $300/hr and lawyers can be more expensive.  Having done both- I'll bet the Zepp ride is better bang/buck.

Any in the southeast can partake of another sort of thrill flight. Hang gliding. Last I heard you could do a tandem flight for around $300.00 at the Look Out Mountain facility. That includes ground school training in the morning and the flight later that day.

I was a pilot when I lived in the southwest and would highly recommend it as the purest form of flight available to us bipeds.

Heights are nothing. It's the falling you have to worry about.

Actually, not to put too fine a point on it...it's not the falling, but that damn sudden stop at the end!  [8|]

Fallings not such a huge issue normally its the sudden and complete stop at the end thats the kicker
