Thadius had an agenda and it was pretty dishonorable of him to try and pretend he didn't have one.

Ah we all have an agenda even when we think we don't.

Thats odd DK - we get bits and pieces exactly as if they had been cut.

And yes, we have the Colbare repor too - though I dont get to see that as there is usually something else I want to see on

E

I will often catch up on the Daily Show, on-line.

Same with Colbert.

Note, tickets to be an audience member at the Daily Show and the Colbert Report are free.

A great fun something to do when visiting NYC.

It takes a while for them to come(in your email) and it requires standing outside the studio for an hour or 2 before the show, but it`s worth it.

http://www.thedailyshow.com/tickets.jhtml

http://www.colbertnation.com/tickets

Follow the instructions, don`t email more than once or all emails get dumped and your e-tix will arrive.

Be careful not to schedule in the hard winter if the cold bothers you.

Not to metion that Palin was put under oath in the troopergate fiasco.

Report Clears Palin

Released Monday, the report says there is no probable cause to believe Palin or any other state official violated the Alaska Executive Ethics Act in connection with the firing. The report was prepared by Timothy Petumenos, an independent counsel for the Alaska Personnel Board.

Talk about a thread bump.....

Isn`t this the pannel that she hires and fires?

She`ll be under investigation for corruption concerning the gas pipeline deal and for her free house built by the guys who did free work on Senator Felon Ted Stevens` house.

They`ll be plenty of interesting weeks in Palin`s future.

Unless she wins.Then?........ All`s forgiven and all sins will washed awayyyyy.........

Just tying up a loose end. Didn't seem to deserve a whole new thread.

The current Board was appointed by her predecessor. And the report was filed by an independent investigator after she forced the issue by filing an ethics complaint against herself. The Legislature had never even subpoenaed her in its "investigation".

DomKen, everyone has an agenda, even Independants like me.
I want my government to be a lean, mean, non-spending machine that enforces our laws, borders, and doesn't get us involved in other countrie's problems.
So, I won't be throwing my vote away tommorow by voting for Dems or Repubs, the very people who've gotten us into this mess.

Glad you brought the thread back to life.  Gives me an opportunity to mention that Palin's an even bigger idiot than I thought she was.  I almost wet myself reading the transcript of the Sarkozy prank, I was laughing so hard.  I'm not usually a fan of practical jokes, but in this case, I'll make an exception.  Her ignorance and gullibility are astonishing.  Yet another embarrassing week in Palinland.

I heard this but haven`t confirmed it yet,but.....

Apparently Palin has signed a deal to sell alllllll the surplus Alaskan natual gas to Asia, instead of it going into the US market.

Then there was Joe The Phony and news that McCain gave over $400 grand to Rashid Khalidi ,the guy they`re calling a PLO-terroist/Obama-friend.opps...lol

I dunno - I think they look more like race horses than donkeys, but a very poor choice nonetheless.

I came close to leaving the country 4 years ago.  I started looking for work in Canada and England.  I think that with the crap I've dealt with over the last 14 months, if Senator Obama's Chicago rally becomes a concession speech I'll pack up the family and get the heck outta here.  I've heard Australia is nice this time of year...

BTW: I get to start a full-time, 1 month contract tomorrow!  At last: a stable income! For the next 4 weeks.

Owner, it's not like this has never happened before.

Kennedy vs. Nixon, 1960.

Text: It's not fair to make candidates debate on tv where everyone can see them!  People are only supporting Kennedy because he's so good looking. Nixon isn't really ugly anyway!  That wasn't sweat!  It was a camera trick!

The.subtext: It's un-American to vote for a Catholic! The pope gets to tell Catholics what to do!  He's gonna be telling Kennedy what bills to sign and stuff!

The sub-subtext: Who let those damned Catholics in?  Sneaky people, all of them.  Those weird ceremonies in some foreign language, etc.  They were never supposed to get in; this is un-American!

We survived it then.  I'd bet now, people think about Camelot and forget that Kennedy was Catholic. The Kennedy clan went on to embed in public life for all these years.  I heard people say JFK Jr. 'owed' it to America to become president himself sometime.

From outsider to insider in just a little while.

People can adjust to change; they just don't want to.

Its no wonder Celticlord and Thadius packed up and left. Sanity, though, is indefatigable, and I'm sure he'll let us know that this is all about media bias.

...be fair, Thadius may have had an agenda, like CelticLord, but he argued honourably, unlike CelticLord. Not fair to lump the two together.

i do not see Master Thadius as the type to "pack up and leave."   He probably has a life that took precedence over posting here.
