Three is My favorite number.
...We are looking...

My numerology number is three--you know add the numbers of your day, month and year then break it down to the lowest denominator (Love the pun). Three is cool.

Aside from all the tongue in cheek and number things ....

I have to say I'm sorta tired of people trying to justify their actions as either natural or unnatural.  Using nature in this way simply helps one to not have to be responsible for their choices.  (ie: if it is natural to be heterosexual, and homosexuality is unnatural, then it is okay to discriminate against gays and lesbians - right?)

How about we ( the collective we here ) start making choices that are based on our needs and wants.  Using your head, rather than solely your heart or loins, to make decisions might just lead to a lot more stable relationships and more fulfilled people.  I guess the downside would be that all of us might have to stop for a moment and actually think about what we really want or need - lol.

To the OP, you might want to determine what you want and need and make that decision a reality in your life.  If you need or want polygamy and someone you are really stuck on doesn't ....I guess you'll have to decide if giving up your need for polygamy is worth having that person in your life.  If it is, then be prepared to have feelings for other people and not act on them.  ... and of course visa versa if you are a fan of monogamy.

Something tells me I might get crucified for this one .... he he he.

Crucified... no... I liked it!  Thank you!

So is the natural actually not pairs, but threes?

Using that logic you could say that the natural and best family is a male father, female mother and their child.

Most 0-9 digits have ancient symbology, and three certainly has a huge hold on the western world, but I wouldn't base the natural or fulfillment of my life on that :)

*chuckles* Interesting question. I did read somewhere that the human mind and eye is naturally designed to look for patterns. We can pick them out better than computers. You could probably put together such a nice list using duets and not trios. I'd like to see a nice list in favor of seven. Seven wonders of the world, dance of the seven veils..

Which number is the most natural divisor?

Depends on whether you are a monocot or dicot.

(sorry, can't take the geek out of the girl....[8|]. My mind just works this way.)

LPslittleclip -> RE: The number three (10/24/2008 6:45:24 PM)

what is 6 x 7 ... wait thats the hitchikes guideto the galaxy.
on the more serious side in nature the tendency is to have groups for support and protection bothin males and females. it wasnt until about 2000 years ago that the number of spouses was limited. i tend to like the idea of having more than one partner/significant other to add to the family/group dynamic, it allows the dynamic to have more resorces to aid them and to gain in the bonds of the group. i have a poly family and it is wonderfull having the extra persons to talk to and to help when things dont work out right.

mistoferin -> RE: The number three (10/24/2008 8:48:07 PM)
