shivermetimbers -> The woman I love is coming... (10/21/2008 12:22:55 AM)

Okay, I wrote a suggestive title, and I admit to hopefully lure many in.  I love my Deanna, and she arrives in November.  She has a love of Godiva truffles (I'll admit I have a love of Godiva everything!).  Yes she will be reading this post.  But it's okay to answer this question, because I'm hoping for more than one type of candy:

What other maker of chocolates, truffles, etc. do you enjoy, and do they deliver from an online order?  I love my Deanna dearly, and would love to have some other alternatives, for comparison sakes.

I know this isn't a BDSM question per se, but if you knew my Deanna, trust me, you would know she deserves the best available.

Please include a site if you know, and most of all, reviews from personal experience!!  Thank you everyone!!!

Chuck's Nuts makes good candy and they have fudge! https://www.chucksnuts.com/

Plus, they sell cool t-shirts and aprons that say, " I <3 Chuck's Nuts". ;-)

Cote D'Or (think I spelled that right) is hard to find anywhere but online, but it's the best chocolate in the whole world.

Well, if she deserves the best....then I will offer the best, imo.

Fritz Knipschildt is a maker of artisinal chocolates. I first met him while visiting the Fancy Food Show in NYC and was amazed by the flavors he mixed in his truffles...my favorite is the "Kelly" truffle made with strawberries and lemon thyme. Sigh..... http://www.knipschildt.com/flash.html
The Best!

Good luck with the arrival.....!

My daily ration (yes, I actually have a daily ration of chocolate) has been Hersheys Special Dark for several years.

When I want something a bit finer I seek out the confections of two stores local to me.

While I'm sure the suggestions of others are all of high quality I encourage you to find your local confectioner and to procure your delights from him or her. Nothing beats locally made goods in my opinion.

I forgot something.

Congratulations. I wish you all the success and happiness you want.

I'll definately second UN on this one - go with a local chocolatier if you have one nearby.

Here in my area, there's a place called the CocoFlow Cafe - everything chocolate and then some.  And OMG they have the BEST chocolate that I've ever had.  Spectacular truffles, single origin chocolate confections (single origin meaning all of the cocoa comes from one particular locale, rather than being a blend of cocoas from wherever)  Chocolate dipped Biscotti and filled pastries, chocolate cakes that are pleasing both to the palette and to the eye for their artistry, both hot and cold chocolate drinks.  The place is a nightmare for me to drive past, because I find I can't resist the compulsion to pull into the parking lot and go in for something.

While they have a website, they're still working on the estore portion of the site - so there's no way to buy from them just yet except in their only store, which is here in the OKC metro.

LaTigresse -> RE: The woman I love is coming... (10/21/2008 7:30:44 AM)

Shiver, I know that you will search high and low for the very best chocolates. I know that you will be nervous and anxious in hopes that she also feels they are the best. However, as a chocolate fantatic I can tell you one thing.

If a sub/slave worked half as hard as I imagine you are, to find what they felt was the best, regardless of whether or not it ended up being my favourite, the EFFORT and caring that was put into getting it would be the most pleasing aspect. Not the chocolate itself.

sub4hire -> RE: The woman I love is coming... (10/21/2008 7:56:32 AM)

I second the Ghiradelli chocolate.  I used to like Cadbury dark until Hersheys bought them out and the quality went down.
