Hardest thing lifewise for me - watching as my mother took her final breaths as she died of cancer two years ago.  That scene haunts me every single day.

Easiest thing - That has to be accepting who and what i am in a bdsm context, felt so right and so natural!

LadyPact -> RE: In Accordance to Your lifestyle, what was the Hardest thing You had to do? (10/17/2008 9:03:32 AM)

The hardest?  I'm not sure

It could be right now, this minute, while I prepare to take My  boy to the airport.  To let him go again.  Hiding the tears on My cheeks.

If there is something more than this, I would hate to know it.

Accepting his presence in my life.

(wiping tears away)   Accepting someone's passing can be so difficult.  I don't think that some ever get over it.  I know I have found it extremely difficult, and it's been some 25 years.

Hardest... accepting my sadism.  Maybe needles.  But they were hard in different ways.

Easiest... letting T touch me the first time.

darchChylde -> RE: In Accordance to Your lifestyle, what was the Hardest thing You had to do? (10/17/2008 2:00:51 PM)

Hardest:  Truly trusting Her completely: not trying to take care of everything myself and not trying to protect Her from my problems
              and fears.

Easiest:   Loving Ma'am.

faerytattoodgirl -> RE: In Accordance to Your lifestyle, what was the Hardest thing You had to do? (10/17/2008 2:28:37 PM)

easiest thing: travel 3500 miles
hardest thing: getting out of that horror 3500 miles away from home

The hardest thing for me was becoming a decent human being.

Is your aim Michael to convince .dark. of this??

Hardest thing in the lifestyle not in my life that would be helping my son for a year fight luekemia and holding him as he died.

In the life was using a flogger, I have scars on my back from mommy dearest garden hose cut into a cat of nine tails.  The idea of using any whip on anyone else was practically unthinkable, but the woman I was with about 3 years ago begged and begged untill I thought I had to at least try it for her.

Easiest was find out I am a natural with it and loving it to the point that I now make fine floggers for myself and friends.

kiwisub12 -> RE: In Accordance to Your lifestyle, what was the Hardest thing You had to do? (10/17/2008 5:41:10 PM)

Hardest thing in this lifestyle was knocking on my Sirs door for the first time. ( yes, i had only met him once and talked to him on the phone twice - and he told me off for doing it this way, so don't frown at me!)

Easiest thing was not going home again -  well, only to get my stuff and tell my adult um that i was moving in with him.  Well, maybe that wasn't all that easy, but i wasn't not going to do it because my kid disapproved. [:D]

my life since discovering bdsm has been singularly charmed - touch wood.

Hardest: To realize what a complete failure as a human being I was and to come to terms with it and start over.

Easiest: To love my ummmms

KatyLied -> RE: In Accordance to Your lifestyle, what was the Hardest thing You had to do? (10/17/2008 6:47:39 PM)

The most difficult "lifestyle" thing I did was to submit to a contractual relationship.  Although it was not a piece of paper contract, the relationship had definite parameters about the future and how it would (would not) unfold.  Although for the most part it was a good relationship and I grew a lot while in it, it crystallized for me, that it's not the sort of relationship I want in the future.  It was difficult to wrap my mind around it and I spent a lot energy trying to be okay with it, when deep down I was not.

VivaciousSub -> RE: In Accordance to Your lifestyle, what was the Hardest thing You had to do? (10/17/2008 7:04:14 PM)

Most difficult: Coming to accept that I want to be - nay, need to be - submissive, in the midst of figuring out how to gracefully deal with me, myself and I after the last suicide attempt.

Easiest: embracing my inner masochist.

myotherself -> RE: In Accordance to Your lifestyle, what was the Hardest thing You had to do? (10/18/2008 4:04:08 AM)

hardest thing: finally admitting that I am what I am, and making that first move towards this scary new world

easiest thing: finding those special few friends who understand and love me for who I am and what I am.  They were there all the time - I was just looking in the wrong places.

shewhoserves -> RE: In Accordance to Your lifestyle, what was the Hardest thing You had to do? (10/18/2008 4:49:12 AM)

trying to understand why i am submissive

having no one to be with

Hardest thing for me, was when my father killed himself. It has been 26 years, but I'm alive because I see things differently then my dad.
I know that I am loved and cared for.

Always, knees[sm=cactus.gif]

lizcgirl -> RE: In Accordance to Your lifestyle, what was the Hardest thing You had to do? (10/19/2008 8:07:58 AM)

Easiest thing in the life: learning to trust some one completely with all aspects of my being.

Hardest thing: learning that trust was misplaced and it was all a lie.
