It`s not official,..for now,but there seems to be yet another scandal accompanying Saint Sarah from Alaska.

It seems like she may have gotten her house built for free,by the builders of the multi-million dollar sports complex near by.

it would be nice if it were another scandal perhaps - but the problem for Palin is that coming from such a small community where everyone knows everyone else, almost anything she did as mayor could be taken to benefit someone she knows and so be suspicious.

notwithstanding that though, it would be extremely poor judgement whatever, to have the same firm build your house (even on their days off and as buddies) as you just authorised to build a major municipal project - even if no foul play were at work.

at the least it would raise questions of prudence in office, as it is it risks a damaging scandal.

but then, how many building firms are available up there to which she or her family doesnt have some connection I wonder? and of those building firms, how many are not related to one another in some way?

Poor judgement is Palin's specialty: she is one of these people who let power get to their heads. Even "small town in Alaska power". Her political career is toast [8D] .

I think 'a bit of a brute' applies to her. Not too subtle, not too clever, but single-minded and determined. A moose in a china shop.

Poor judgement. I seem to be hearing those words a great deal as of late when it comes to the McCain/Palin camp.

Keating, selecting Palin as a running mate, those shoes...the hockey game, and now their house.

Not a very good trend.

So, to recap:

In high school, she gained the name "Sarahcuda" by playing dirty ball.
She kept her last pregnancy a secret.
Her daughter is knocked up by a self described "asshole redneck" even though her Mom is for "family values"
Shotgun wedding.
Her husband has been caught DUI
He also loves the US so much he joined a seceecionist movement
She used her power to try and get her ex brother in law fired
She asked about banning books that were GLBT friendly
She had her house (possibly) built for free for throwing a $12 million contract a friend's way...
She goes around rabble rousing the "nutcases" hoping to incite violence
We've known her six weeks and so far she's only done three interviews and one debate. Biden (in the same 6 week period) over 100.


Oh, yeah, I can see it now... she's the perfect person to have a heartbeat away from being President. [8|]

I just had the most depressing thought... we only have 3 more weeks to enjoy all these Palin jokes. 3 weeks from tomorrow, she'll be yesterday's fish, and we'll have to find something else to make fun of.

She is not to bright. I heard that she posed for Playboy then later found out it was Mad Magazine

Shrug,

Leaving a small city with a massive debt for a sports complex, bad idea.  Doesn't do much for her non pork stance.  She has a long history of using her position to reward and punish with projects. 

There does have to be more proof than what is presented for this.  Bad judgment, possibly, criminal activity?  That is a reach with what has been presented.

My major problem with her is. Her future son in law is dropping out of school . Question. Why dose'nt  Palin make him stay in school until he gets a diploma.

I was thinking about that this morning as I was driving. A shining example of good christian moral values. Unwed pregnant teenage daughter, babydaddy a high school dropout. Just a wee bit of a disconnect I think.

Yet another reason why I detest the far right christian base. They are just a whole shitheap of hypocrites.

Just imagine the polls today if McCain had chosen a respected conservative Republican running mate instead of Palin. He may have been our next president...thank God for poor decisions.

That's what happens when the GOP chooses a vice-presidential candidate from the boondocks, and without any kind of vetting process. It's like buying a tank without a warranty.
