I love bartering.
As an artisan at various shows/faires/etc., I often trade my wares for goods or services.
I'd love to see the practice become more broad-based.
I am going to be working on an Asian painting (Not my usual style but I'm versatile) for a friend. In return, I will get massages. Will paint for rubbins!
Glad you're enjoying the benefits of the bartering system. And, ya know, I think it promotes more 'real' interaction among folks rather than just nuts n bolks, 'I give you money and putter off' that is so often the case in exchanges I see among people. I think it's a great way of potentially getting more back in touch with folks as well as being financially beneficial.
