I guess it's a good thing I've been told I'm hard headed, don't listen, stubborn, can't tell me anything, and when told I can't do something I get that watch me do it attitude...

Who says I don't listen? I remembered all that sheesh

I think the crazies gave up.

tammystarm -> RE: What has made your eyes roll today? (9/8/2009 10:40:57 PM)

MEN!!  IF YOU ARE SQUICKED BY STUFF ABOUT CHICK BODY FUNCTIONS!!  DO NOT READ THIS!!!

I hate that I spent 4.5 hrs at the ER today.  After 3.5 months without a period, suddenly I started again.  3 weeks ago.  HEAVY.  I'm talking tampon AND pads.

After doing some research, I found that that kinda thing can be an indication of fibroids, and other surgically treated stuff.

Needless to say, I wasn't thrilled (and ok, I was quite a bit concerned).

(the good news is that it seems it's just me starting menopause....)

Had a FABULOUS Dr. and nurse... very friendly, and sufficiently clinical at the same time.. just what I needed at the moment.

However, as I was leaving, I got called over to the financial desk.  Ok, I *told* them I dont have insurance when I checked in.   I understand they wanna know about financial stuff. I sit down, the lady tells me "we need a $200.00 downpayment on your treatment today"

:: thud ::

"Um, I don't HAVE $200.00"
"How much DO you have?"
"MAYBE $17.00, in my account"

so she ran a $17.00 charge.

Thank god, I actually had 21.00... at least I dont have to pay an overdraft fee.

But seriously.. TWO HUNDRED DOLLAR DOWNPAYMENT???  ok, yeah, there was labwork (cultures and blood)., but HELL!!  I *still* havent seen what the total bill is supposed to be.

I VOTE FOR NATIONAL HEALTH CARE!!!

ETA: (maybe this should be in the I hate it thread... but TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS AS A DOWNPAYMENT???)

tammystarm -> RE: What has made your eyes roll today? (9/8/2009 11:02:48 PM)

ive watched people lose insurance over getting majorly ill and losing their jobs, then filed bankruptcy because of all the medical bills. i know a few people who have to goto europe for health care! ITS about damn time american stood up to the plate and took care of its own buisness, and that is its own!

I know what you mean, Tammy. I am waiting for my award letter so I can get my MEdicaid and see the doctors about my lymph nodes. With my luck, its probably a bad case of MRSA and I have to be hospitalized for it.

Fat, balding middle-aged men with personals ads that state they are looking for "slim, attractive, athletic" women in their early 20's. First off, what makes you think YOU have anything to offer? And secondly, why not just write "I'm looking for someone who is too young to have any REAL expectations of me, and won't have enough experience to know what a terrible lover I am." ?? Oh that's right, because HONESTY and self-awareness isn't in your profile.

Sunnyfey -> RE: What has made your eyes roll today? (9/9/2009 2:25:51 PM)

*drums her fingers on the table*

Not all 20 year olds are naive. That's why those fat, balding middle aged men are still single.

Just sayin....

Aylee -> RE: What has made your eyes roll today? (9/9/2009 2:30:28 PM)

LOL  Sunnyfey.

No. . .but it does make my eyes roll.

Sunnyfey -> RE: What has made your eyes roll today? (9/9/2009 2:33:21 PM)
