I am  dreading Halloween, have only begin the glimmer of Christmas thoughts tho I know after Ike's punch. I dont care what I have to  do we are making Christmas special for my  family and the family living with us. Tho they will soon get power and water ( soon being in the next month) they wont be able to  go home because they  ferry wont be up for 3-6 months ( meaning to get to  work for them would require taking the ever so not scenic route and add four hours driving time) So yeah the thought is scarey in the grand scheme of things but gives me something to do  while hings attempt to go back to normal

eta: it's a bit easier for me to concentrate on christmas as halloween is not a big holiday over here (i won't even buy lollies this year as i'd end up eating all of them myself) and thanksgiving, of course, is something they remember seeing on tv. *I* will do something for the holiday, but it's not a national one - no time off even - i'll be bringing a pumpkin pie or two into the office to introduce them to the concept, lol!

I have a three year old granddaughter, so Halloween has some life in it again. Which is a good thing we all need deversions right now to  make us laugh  and smile, I plan on hanging ghosts from what is left of my trees. And the guy that  bales hay behind my house left us four hay bales for Deco and a pile to make a scare crow ... So  yeah halloween is kinda fun when you are looking at it from a three year olds eyes
