Having just returned from Europe, I must say that Europeans love Americans.. it's just George Bush they hate and they think we're pretty wonkers for having elected him .. twice. If you talk about George Bush in pubs, admitting that you didn't vote for him gets you free drinks!

Yep, those Europeans are really great at picking leaders. Forget about going back through the centuries, just in the past hundred years the "royalty of Europe as well as "elected despots" have plunged the world through two world wars, uncountable nation on nation, religion on religion, ethnic on ethnic group wars and misery....not to mention almost half a century of serfdom under the Soviet Union, and it goes on until today!  And they don't understand how we could pick George Bush....twice!  True, George Bush has made many mistakes but FINALLY we have a choice between John a mere human McCain and a "God"!   Kinda scary when possibly our next President is known only by his "words" and his biography (no deeds, no paper trail..is he real?)  is generally unknown by soo many ardent supporters in the Obamanation.  And now we get down to the tail end of the race for the Oval Office and, finally, Sarah Palin has the Obama campaign "full of sound and fury" and the main stream lib pundits shaking as she peels away the onion skin of the most radical leftist ever to run for President.  You have to only listen to Keith Ubarmann for two minutes two watch this tense, hyperventilating leftist foam at the mouth, throw paper at the camera, and build his case for an insanity plea!

Dude, it was a few free drinks .. why are you getting so worked up? Talk about foaming at the mouth! GW Bush is hated by plenty of folks all over the world and here at home. (Have you seen his approval rating lately? The only things worse is the approval rating of Congress!) Surely, this doesn't come as a surprise to anyone?

And please, calling up ancient history as some sort of mitigator? Apples and oranges. Hell, even die hard pubs have tried to distance themselves from his policy.

You keep waving those pom poms though. I'm sure he'll appreciate the support. Personally, I'm going back to Portugal in January and will be happy to get free drinks since my American dollars aren't worth squat over there.

Well, I am sitting here in my local democrated sheriff's campign tshirt.  I asked him what am I supposed to do now. I hate them all.
Even he said that he wishes Barack had chosen Hillary as a running mate.
Personally, I think Barack made the wrong choice in choosing Caroline Kennedy as the chair person of the VP running mate.
So for Dexter, I will vote democrat.
I may change my mind tomorrow.
I know I could not vote for McCain.
If we had a third party in place that would allow for a candidate to get elected, I believe they could this time.
I got a hug, tshirt, and a button.  lol
He will make a fine sheriff.
