So Milady is off to Moab for 4 days on a kayaking trip.  I am missing her a lot!  :(

Before she went, I got her a little token of affection to take with her.  It is a little soft stuffed bunny and I put a studded black leather collar around it's neck.  I put some of my cologne on it and slept with it for two days before...to sort of charge it up!

Now, yea it is silly and...schmoopy...but she told me last night that she had it with her all day and took pictures of it in all of the places they went.  Today, she is leashing it and taking it with her down the river held safely in her shirt.  That makes me feel really good, like part of me is there with her.

So...what about you all?  What tokens of Love do you give to your SO, your Dominant, or Sub/Slave to remember you by?
What do they mean to you, and do they take on a significance of their own, these tokens?
Are they simple and/or common items, or do they have BDSM significance too?

Well we live together, so everything is really.  But I've been given stuffed animals, worn tshirts, books, even pets to care for.  They have significance in that they are important and want to be shared.

For me personally, i don't know about Sir i don't need tokens of love. I carry him in my heart everywhere i go, whatever i do.

Grinning, i have a Harley bear that Scooter gave me for my birthday i do not stay away overnight without.
 
I also steal his socks and wear them. Ok, i stole a pair of Jewels red socks too, cause red socks make your feet happy. Recently his old Harley belt buckle gave out so i took that, fixed it and kept it too.
 
Do not misinterpret, i have two drawers full of new socks (including red ones), i have Harley buckles and can certainly go buy a new one. But taking his makes me happy, lol.

Yep!  Milady wears my shirts around.  It is only fair, as I wear a good bit of her clothing too!

It is a wonderful way of feeling connected to that person whom you Love.  [:)]

I love stuffed animals.. I used to have a lot of them too =( Now I only have one.

<.< Hmm, I started goofing around with a piece of paper. Sir wanted me to draw something (we were in a restaurant), so I started putting puppy prints on it then wrote a big I love you in crayon. It was silly, but he liked it and took it with him since he was leaving that day ^^

His bday is coming up though and I would like to get him something special

Awww, that is cute that you did that for Her and cute that She took pics!

I did something a wee bit similar...
Recently I went on a rafting trip and brought along a rubby ducky which I tied with ribbon to our raft. I also tied ducky to a tree and shoved sticks up her ducky butt. Took pics every step of the way. However, ducky wasn't symbolic of a sub. More like a voodoo doll that my friends and I did horrible things to as in inside joke of a girl we don't like. ;) All weekend the mantra was, "Hate fuck the duck!" Hehe.

Ahem... sorry about that >.>

I love stuffed animals. Like, seriously. Stuffed anything, really. I currently sleep with Stuffed Plush Soccer Balls (one I got when I was a kid, and one that my mom got me recently) because I like having things to hug and snuggle with.

And I LOVE getting them as gifts :D Teehee.

Love tokens to partners... usually I'll get them gifts for birthdays, or similar, but otherwise I don't get them many actual gifts or tokens... but I will buy food a lot :D things like that. It's better if the gift is functional, I think... which is why I like giving them food (meals at restaurants and such), but I found that I like giving them a piece of jewelry (like a necklace or a ring) to wear too.

Neets and I collect stuffed animals with a preference for bears. Gradually I'm building a collection of grizzlies and polar bears which are being dressed in leathers, chains and mini cuffs etc.  BTW, we refer to them as "Fur Persons" and will feature on their own web site I am building..

Well I'm rather warm and cuddly and if I affect a certain expression on my face I can probably pass for being a stuffed animal.

And a considerable number of people on the other side have even suggested it.. you know... getting stuffed...

babies!!!!  Daddy bought me a vampire bat stuffie....TheEngineer has got me 2 snake, a tiger, two bears, and a panda.  oh and the recent dragon!

i sleep with a couple of bears at all times, and both the Gentlemen have bought me jewelry items that i wear all the time.  so, yeah, tokens of affection are vry lovely.  [:)]

I give all the Ladies I play with a black teddy bear ,and a purple velvet collar with a gold cat charm on the link ring. The teddy because black teddy bears are incredibly rare, like the Ladies I play with. The black teddy bear was orginally made by Steiff to commemorate the sinking of the Titanic. I suppose it's the rarity of them that makes me give them to my pets, it's a token of gratitude for the gift they have given me, by sharing such a special part of their life in my company.
LadyLove has an original, which is only right.
I always get sub ladies a little gold cat to show them that my pets are worth more than gold to me and I like it on a purple collar.
In England, most girls are very pale as we get very little sun and the shade of velvet radiates against their skin in a really erotic way, and the Imperial connotation of that shade also appeals to me. I have given several of these gifts in the last few years and I am looking forward to giving more. I am always looking for black bears, they are very hard to come by, I visit a Russian dealer who usually gets them for me.
The cats vary from cartoon type cats to witches cats with arched backs, depending on the character of the Lady concerned. 
LadyLove sees it as my identifying with my pets as cats, they can come and go as they wish, they are always welcome to stay and welcome to leave.
LadyLove is always buying me soft toys of the character known in Britain as Basil Brush, an aristocratic eccentric fox in tweedy clothes and with a characteristic laugh. I have six of them in different outfits. I'm stopping here,  I'm starting to sound like a big softy.

My former master and mistress gave me a sharebear that I particularly loved..  sometimes I wish I'd brought it with me when it ended..  I do have a sharebear avatar in second life, though!  lol
I accidentally took one of her tee-shirts when I left..  I wear it a lot now..  :*(

I have a shirt... a dark blue, button down dress shirt that was the first thing I saw him in... and the first thing of his I ever wore when I threw it on after crawling out of bed to go get us drinks.  I love that shirt.

I have a thing about teddy bears always have and for that reason Sir wont get me one, initally i thought it cruel but I get it now there is no need for him to be associated with old rituals because it is something new. I in the same regard always buy gifts silly things but again there is no need its more practrical and better recieved if i pay for a load of shopping or whatever than if i buy him something cute, i guess it makes a differance that we arent away from each other much though. I guess its like someone said earlier i have always relied on stuff to solidify how i feel in this case i dont need it its just there you know? Its that strange unquantifiable thing that doesnt need anything physical to make it real

I have a large collection of teddy bears and I love them all. I'm a bit behind with My art, but many of them wear a hand-painted portrait on a heart round their necks with their beary punny names eg a black bear is Ebearny, 2 different red-pink bears are Strawbeary and Raspbeary, a cream-coloured one is Camembear and one in a flying suit is called the Red Bearon ... you get the idea! When Master and I did Our big road trip in 2006, We took along a little purple bear that He christened Stevie (after His favourite guitarist, Steve Vai) and that bear was photographed having all sorts of adventures! Sitting on a Devil's Marble in central Australia, up a tree in the far north etc etc. Definitely have bear will travel here!

They are very special tokens of special times and people and I wouldn't part with them lightly. Master's quite a fan too! I often call Him my big teddy bear [:D]
