I wonder if it would make any difference to the perception of this "bailout" if it was called what it really is: "An emergency loan."

Bailout makes it sound like once the money is spent, we'll never see it again. Chances are, with the US buying up all these bad home loans, they'll be able to turn a profit.

Of course the real problem is still waiting to happen... this bill only covers the estimated 12% of the total bad paper out there... so we're still waiting for the tsunami to hit.
