apparently its NOT terrorism, nor is it front page news, that a mosque in DAYTON OHIO was attacked through an open window, gassing many women and children.  the room sprayed was where the children were staying as their parents were in services.
http://www.dailykos.com/storyonly/2008/9/28/203016/697/536/613742

quote from the article "
On Friday, September 26, the end of a week in which thousands of copies of Obsession: Radical Islam's War Against the West -- the fear-mongering, anti-Muslim documentary being distributed by the millions in swing states via DVDs inserted in major newspapers and through the U.S. mail -- were distributed by mail in Ohio, a "chemical irritant" was sprayed through a window of the Islamic Society of Greater Dayton, where 300 people were gathered for a Ramadan prayer service. The room that the chemical was sprayed into was the room where babies and children were being kept while their mothers were engaged in prayers. This, apparently, is what the scare tactic political campaigning of John McCain's supporters has led to -- Americans perpetrating a terrorist attack against innocent children on American soil."

its appalling.  not just that such a hate crime happened....but that its not being reported.

I'm glad all the children were OK...but I'm also glad it is not being broadcasted nation wide. I'll bet the local community is as appalled as we are and the police and FBI are doing everything in their power to find the perpetrators.

Going nation wide will just encourage copycats and raise tensions unneccesarily. That would do no one any good.

I think with Terrorism by any nationality, it is an extreme minority of that nationality which is causing the problem, an extreme minority of one set of people and the same with another set of people, all of which often claim to be acting for the majority. If it were that the minority sought the oppinnion of the majority, they might well find that their services are not required, I suspect that is why they do not ask, but just simply do. The reality is, terrorists are nothing but thugs, people who have to use violence to make themselves heard.

Perhaps it is of more use that these pathetic crimes against people who pose no danger do go unreported to the masses and the perpetrators caught with all haste so that they can be put out of harm's way, this remembering that a terrorists greatest tool is publicity, don't give them it.

I suspect though this incident was not so much an act of terrorism, but simply a hate crime, a deed carried out by pathetic individuals at a time when the victims can pose no threat to the assailants. An assault against women and children, that figures, like I said, but emphasis on the word PATHETIC !

Ignorance can have serious, even fatal consequences. Here in the UK, we do tend to publicise such incidents, then we all say how terrible, something must be done. But what?
Since 9/11 we have had asian restaurants attacked (often the wrong race targeted) mosques desecrated and 'Obama' become an insult. After Israel fired rockets into the Lebanon, temples were smeared with nazi slogans (in excreta) and a rabbi's car was daubed with 'child murderer' grafitti.
When England were playing Greece at soccer, we needed a draw at least to qualify for a big tournament, severe disappointment was imminent. Most Greek restaurants closed for the night in anticipation. During the media frenzy about paedophiles, a paediatrician (this is a doctor who treats children) had their house put under seige by enraged citizens. This doctor even had a plaque outside her house with her qualifications etc, as if a sicko would announce theirselves in such a manner and gain letters after their name. All I state is that it happens everywhere, France and Germany have very poor race relations (worse than here). History tells me that the KKK were using similar and worse tactics.

What I don't get is how exactly this is blamed of John McCain....you don't suppose the author of the piece might just be an Obama man do you?
