I went to a party last night. It was a private house party/cook out. I wore jeans, a white button down shirt.... and FLIP FLOPS!! damn I guess I need to turn in my international uber dom card...... *sighs*

Clothes do not make a person dominant, I could dress the OP in leather/latex, and towering heels and walk her into a hotel, that would not make her dominant.

*shakes head* wow heels in Vegas, who would have thunk it?

I can usually be found in crocs or flip flops, personally!  I tend to call my high heels my "sitdown shoes"... I tend to wear them only for a scene or on an outing where I have someone to serve me while I sit comfortably showing them off.  Lovely to look at, not particularly functional.

Other than those times, I go comfy.  I've foot issues from surgeries in the Army, so I baby my feet.

So my domestic gets to kiss my crocs.  Gives me an entirely different enjoyment than when I do a heel-oriented scene or kissing... they're so not glamorous or stereotypical... so ugly, comfy and functional... that to see a sub bent down kissing them pleases me and gives me giggles, both.

Based on her height and wearing heels, I would guess that.... she's a tall woman who wears heels. My thigh-high black platform heels don't make me dominant. Sexy yes, dominant no. [:D]

When I wear them it's not superiority. It's about I really like how my legs look in really tall heels and Val doesn't seem to mind the view either. Plus, if every woman who wore tall heels was a dominant or expressing superiority, there wouldn't be a shortage - more like a surplus.

Plus, it's very easy to be fooled when trying to guess who is what in the workplace or other situations. Different enviroments bring out different aspects of one's personality.

Not to mention that I'm reasonably sure that Bondage/Discipline/Sado-Masochism (BDSM) in the workplace would be a guaranteed sexual harrassment case.

I live in stiletto's. 4' minimum and I am 5'8".At work I always have on tailored suits, often pinstriped. It means nothing other than I like to look a certain way at work and I have worn heels since high school.

Growing up submissive in a Dominate family
I got to see what Dominance was all about.
 
But I didn't really ever get to see it out in the vanilla world. I couldn't tell who might of been and who wasn't Dominate?

This is funny, I've started wearing heels again since getting my collar. I haven't worn any in years and they're hell on the feet, but damn don't they look good for him? [:D]
Oh, and at work, I damn well want to look dominant. It's only at home (or out with him) that I'm anything else.

We have been Dominant for all our married life and have had dozens of pets, we also have three children who have never seen a bloody thing. I don't even want to guess what your upbringing was like. We stayed at the Bellagio last year, no one saw anything there either!

Too true!

Everywhere I've worked, people have kidded with me about being Dominant, and though these were vanillas making jokes, I do come across as pretty intimidating to some people. I always chuckled to myself and thought "Little do they know..."

As many have said before dominance in the workplace, or the outside world for that matter, is very different from dominance in a relationship. I hold a senior management / Director roll in a company where I control, by nature of the job, many people. I dress smartly, wear heels because of the roll. I chair meetings and control the company's finance, administration and marketing.

Then I go home to my Master where I am totally submissive to him. Whatever happens in my worklife he is always in control and my dominance in the workplace makes him realise even more how much I am submitting to him.

The only way to tell if someone is dominant is to get to know them.
