Status: offline 		Okay, does anyine else find the selection process for getting pictures accepted here at CM a little arbitrary? I have some wonderful pictures I've tried to get posted that have been refused by the censors (I think they call them moderators) here.

Seems you're not allowed to show any bondage, according to the reply I got back on the rejection notification. Now two thing cross my mind here....

1) I see quite a few pictures of people in bondage on profiles. So are the censors slipping up?
2) This is NOT the Walt Disney website, censors!

Oddly enough, my Mistress was able to get the same pics accepted on her profile. So, is it cool to show someone else in bondage if it isn't you? Or is it just that you can post whatever you want if you're female?

Seriously though, I wish they were a bit more clear about what they accept and why? I hate having great pictures that I can't post for reasons unknown.

Okay, stepping off the soapbox and trying yet again to edit the pictures enough to get them past the censors. Maybe if I just show the button on my shirt, they'd allow it.....

You don't like it?  Go somewhere else - it's not like you are paying for this free service.

Status: offline 		If your mistress already has these "great pictures" posted, why do you feel the need to post them a second time on the same site?

Furthermore, if you -really- feel the need to share these "great pictures" with the world why not just register your own domain and post them there. Or, if thats too expensive, get a blog. (I suggest Wordpress over Livejournal, by the way because LJ tends to attract lots of minors.) Post them to your blog along with the "great stories" behind the pictures and allow people to enjoy as they wish.

You aren't paying for this service so what do you really have to complain about?

Status: offline 		OP, sometimes it doesn't seem to make sense about what gets accepted or rejected.  i've had the same experiences.  just keep submitting over and over...that is what i did with the pics that are on my profile.  eventually they will get accepted or not.

2) The site is run by several volunteers, what one person may think is inappropriate, another may approve.

3) The site has to be careful of what it allows to be hosted from their site. If more extreme pictures were allowed, they could be subject to fines, and general government botheration.

4) Before it's brought up, the ad's shown on the collarme site all are from legitimate porn sites, who have the proper paperwork in place should their be an investigation. You do not.

5) This is a free site. Quit complaining about something you did not pay for.

Hey, sorry if my complaining bothers you, but it's a bit frustrating when you make an effort to stay inside the rules and still keep getting denied.

I was genuinely curious who else had the same experience. That's all I wanted to know. Not you, obviously. But thanks for the reply. Very witty. Well, at least half, anyway.

Thanks, christine1. That's all I can do. I'd really like to have them accept them. I really can't understand some of the things they reject. One picture they denied is of my Mistress' foot on my bare chest, her big toe resting on my nipple ring. No bondage, no real nudity, unless a male chest has become taboo recently.

I do appreciate the support though. Clearly this isn't the best place for me to vent my annoyance. Seems there's a lot of folks around just looking to add fuel to the issue.

Well, back to try it a few more times...

You make a good point the approval process is inconsistent but nothing in life is perfect. Your main profile picture would have been disapproved by some I'm betting.

Status: offline 		CM's picture process sucks, but then again what do you expect. It's a free site with barely anyone running it; that's why you can get your profifle taken down just because people report it. Doesn't mean they have a basis in reporting it but CM doesn't check the reports so you're screwed.

fetlife allows you to post any picture up which is cool. Forums aren't as amusing though since it's run in a "groups only" fashion. But oh well.

I can relate completely.  I've submitted pics a couple of times that were not approved and have wondered why.  They were VERY tame compared to others I've seen on some profiles and I've never received any explanation as to the reason they were denied.

Really?  That's what it said? Exactly?  It said you're not allowed to show ANY bondage?  Because the last person that bitched about it came back and said after careful re-reading, it said they don't allow ALL forms of bondage or CERTAIN bondage or something like that.

You can always write in to support on the other side, where there are people who can give you actual answers that pertain to you, not wild guesses by peeps on this side who haven't even seen the pictures you're complaining about.

Thanks. That's the angle I'm going for, too. There has to be something I'm missing in the pictures. I'll go over the information I have on what they don't like and see what I missed, I hope.

No, that wasn't an exact quote. Come to think of it, I don't recall putting the word any in red or underlining it when I wrote that either. Regardless, here's the exact quote for you:

Reason: Due to recent changes in U.S. law regarding adult content, many photographs containing persons in bondage cannot be approved at this time.

I'm not seeing the part about "ALL forms of bondage or CERTAIN bondage", but I get the idea. Again, it seems incredibly subjective to me.

So far, no reply as to solid, factual things that are allowed or not when I write for help. But I do appreciate the suggestions, and haven't given up yet.
