ORIGINAL: SilverMark Atlanta is hit or miss at best! If there is gas there is a line! Here they blame it on the low sulfur gas required due to air pollution and the latest hurricane. Price isn't too bad when you find it but, there is a bit of gouging as well. I filled up for $3.99 yesterday without a crowd but, I travel the city enough that I stumble on stations that have it and am lucky enough not to travel when everyone else is. Here in "affluent East Cobb" there are plenty of stations with bags over the pump handles. I'm on empty in the Volvo and about a half tank in the Benz, but she takes premium, which is marginally easier to find. Only thing is, genius here left the car door open last week and ran the battery down, so I have to jump it and then drive it around for quite some time to get the battery charged up. I figure I'll do that Monday, when I have to run errands, like to the bank and PO and such where I can drive through or keep it running whilst I dash in to attend to business. Already made my high-end beer run, so I'm good for a few days there. Got plenty of grub in the house, but I need to run down to the State Farmer's market some time and pick up a case of bells and 50 pounds of onions and a bunch of other stuff which freezes well. It's just so much cheaper. $1.29 per green bell at Kroger vs. 12 or 15 or 20 bucks for 40 pounds. Well worth the trip. Wish I could get my old vendor to deliver to my house.
