Why does it take them so long to approve pictures? Is there any way I can help?

We submitted new ones yesterday. It usually takes a few days - longer if the moderators aren't around. You just have to be patient. the.dark.

OK----seems I was mistaken. They want volunteers....they just don't want people to be able to volunteer. If you figure it out, please explain it to me.

See? Didn't take that long to get a photograph up did it-couple of days? Patience is everything. On the volunteer front MM, I am sure that they want people who have been around a while, rather than someone who has only just signed up two days ago, who doesn't have the patience for their photo to show up and hasn't participated around on CM apart from to be all .mememe. the.dark.

A perfect system as I've said before would be an odd number of judges who each see the same picture in isolation from one another and vote; with the majority being taken as the result. This kind of system would need more people and those getting photos approved would have to wait longer but in the end no one would be left to moan about this blind vote. The fastest I've had one approved is in two hours I think and the longest two days in comparison to other institutions such as passport approvals and such I think that is rather good going considering the large number of users submitting and resubmitting photos.

I'd like to see a moderator actually pop in to throw some figures around. Like, a round number of submitted images per average day versus the number of dedicated persons available to check/approve them. That usually helps with the understanding...

Moderators on the forum have nothing to do with the photo approval on CM.
