I think it is a tribute to Harvard Law that they give out degrees in law and turn out such outstanding economists!

That's the point. McCain has spent years on the Senate Commerce Commitee as Chairman and ranking member, was prescient in his vision of the problems of FannieMae and FreddieMac in 2005. He has been there, done that, with respect to significant issues affecting our economy today. Hismembership on the Armed Services Committe was also an important "school of economics" and his work in cutting Pentagon over-run contracts are well known. Obama was editing college papers while McCain was working in the "real world:.
