Welcome, ladies and gentlemen, to a roundtable discussion about Chuck Norris. I don't know what a "roundtable discussion" is, but if I say "roundtable discussion", maybe people will think I'm smarter than I really am and not notice that I have no social skills.

I was pretty amused to go to a science fiction convention some years ago, and watch a Q&A on stage with Johnathan Harris "Dr. Smith" from the old "Lost in Space" TV show. He was recounting how he had been hired to teach Chuck Norris how to act, in under three weeks, for his first film. I wish I could recount all the little details he told the audiance, but my writing skill simply wouldn't do it justice. To say the least, Mr. Harris said that he took a block of wood (Norris) and carefully carved and finished him into... a slightly better block of wood. LOL
